Hi
I’m not sure if this is the correct place to post as I don’t think the problem is with my AMS…
I am trying to print a simple multi color tag on my P1S. It prints really well with all three colors. I ran out of red an bought a new roll that I’ve put in. Initially I used the same settings as the previous roll but later copied it with a lower flow rate to try and fix the problem I have.
The new roll by itself prints perfectly. The calibrations are spot on, and I did not have to change anything. Now the problem came when I print multi-colors. This filament loads, but extract almost nothing to severely under extruded. The next color is perfect. When I start with this color, it prints perfect, but the next layer when it loads, there is nothing.
Of course with the next color printing, a clogged nozzle is rules out. I also put the filament in a slot that is working and another color in the same slot is working fine.
What puzzles me, is that a single (or first color) of this filament prints perfectly fine. It just refuses to do a color swap. Its a a Hyper speed PLA, just like the previous one, so I have no idea what is going on. Why will it not print with a color change, but prints perfectly fine on its own?
EDIT: I swapped the offending filament with another PLA Hyperspeed without telling the printer, and so far the print looks normal. Thus the same setting on a similar filament works fine.
