I joined the prusa family on their Mk2 line and bought every printer up to the Mk4 and XL lines… MK4, i sold them as soon as BL printers became clearly as reliable as today I’m still runing them 24/7 with stock parts (except the nozzles here and there) even for KS units.
However XL… I was an early adpopter even if it took a long while to deliver, and it was clearly rushed too because I could never get a good print out of it. Good that some users got their XLs running fine, perhaps they got the “upgraded parts in between” (guess what? They now sell the XL+ upgrade and they make you check the version of your hardware and you need a revision x at least. mine is WAAAAAY before the minimum requirement! LOL).
So yeah, purchasing on hype at Prusa has never been good. I had to return one of the MK4s in fact. The other one worked fine though…
BTW now that we are at it, anyone backing Lightmake L4? I’m curious on your opinions…
