Gcode conflicts

I am having some trouble slicing an image. I keep getting the same error “Conflicts of gcode paths have been found. Please separate the conflicted objects farther.” I have tried right clicking and chosing fix model but get the same result. Is this a glitch in the slicer?

This error is normally because two parts are touching, a part is under/inside another part or the prime tower is touching a part.

Yes, i want my first layer to contain the 2 filament types, ie. the textured build plate side would display the pattern. the same struggle as the OP

And you’re getting the “Conflicts of gcode paths have been found” error? Could you post a screen shot of the plate in Bambu Studio?

This error will also happen if two different objects are touching. You will need to “Merge” them together.

Select these two (the white and black parts), right click and select “Merge”

Wow Thanks, I’mpretty sure this worked. Ill circle back and update if the print is a success

Is there a way to make the black print 1st? It might work either way, testing now and it started laying white down first.

There sure is.

  1. Click on the “Plate settings”
  2. Select “Customize” in the “First layer filament sequence”
  3. Drag the colours around to the order you want.

This is with white first, going to try black first later. do you think it will fix this bleeding? Any tips to fix this before I try again?

It looks a bit like you might be getting normal mixing at borders between colors. If you look close in preview after slicing, how many lines get created in the small black single square details? Posting a screenshot of the first layer preview and your line width settings could help.

If it is just that the detail is too fine for the nozzle you are using, you can go to a 0.2mm nozzle if running 0.4 now. (Increases print time by 4x) Something else you can try is adjusting the line widths used in printing. There’s a bunch in the Quality menu. They do take a bit if thinking to sort which to change. Inner and outer line widths, etc. They all have meaning and all affect the final prints.

What do you have your flushing values set too?

I’m using a .2 at the smallest layer height. I may just need to make it larger but i thought I might try to improve it first

Just about what I was looking for. You are set to display line type instead of color for that grab but it does show a bit. That’s pretty tight for the details you are trying to print.

It looks like two extrusion paths are all that fit in those details but switch to displaying filament color and it will be more obvious.

What Jon is getting at is if you haven’t had one color flush fully out of the extruder before printing the next. That can also cause color mixing at borders. We’ve actually seen that be so bad that small details in a different color don’t even show up.

I’m not sure which is the problem but suspect it’s too fine of detail. Can you show the first layer with line color set to filament color and then do the same region of the print on the second layer and also get a shot of your extrusion line width settings?

That should nail down what’s happening I think.

Also, layer height is a different setting that will influence but not be a main factor in the color mixing. You might want to leave layer height at 0.2mm for now.


These are my first 2 layers, I could also try increasing layer height from .1 to .2., I will also increase flushing volumes. I read online that adding a Z hop on retraction can help, any experience with that? You should be able to see my widths in the screen shots
