Yes, policy is unchanged. Posting in random topics does not increase trust level, and never has.

Iāve seen some poor forum professionalism in many places where it should be unacceptable, and this is one of the more extreme examples. Even the Fusion forums over at Autodesk, which is full of engineers condescending to artists who donāt follow āindustry standards,ā (for a software that is used by a gigantic community of hobbyists and non-engineers). Even there, the established community isnāt as disrespectful as Iām seeing on this thread.
And after nearly 3 years of this thread existing, it is still unclear, upon creating an account, how to gain the privilege to post questions. That makes me believe that no one with any decision making power is ever coming here to see how things can be improved.
For a basic first step, there needs to be a āREAD THIS FIRSTā post, on the home page, with all these rules.
Clearly, Bambu refuses to change the way this forum works.
But, even if they do not what to change their rules, they MUST make those rules more obvious. In education, they say the golden rule of classroom management is āmake your invisible expectations visible.ā And that is clearly not happening here.
New users do receive an email with the rules, or at least a link to the rules, but it is easily overlooked. I donāt remember the email exactly as it has been several years since I joined. I do remember being a little confused because it primarily referred to āDiscourseā. I had no idea what Discourse was or that there was a connection to the Bambu forum, so it was quickly deleted.
I did not miss a New Topic button because my initial behavior on joining any forum is to lurk, learn the tone of the discussions, and discover which members seem to be knowledgeable and which are flakes or trolls. I joined the Bambu forum before I made my purchase decision as part of my research into the printerās capabilities and problems. I had fulfilled the few Basic requirements long before I felt an urge to post or create a new topic. I could generally answer my own questions with a search of previous posts.
I think the rules are minimal, reasonable, and effective, keeping most spam out of the forum. I have little patience or empathy for newbies demanding the immediate ability to clutter the forum with the same already-answered questions, with no attempt to review the body of knowledge already collected here. The forum can be like a book. The answers are usually inside, but you need to look through the contents and index to find them.
The rules are good. The presentation of the rules to new users is terrible.
Iāve proposed a change several times which would still show the New Topic button to all users, but direct new users to āthe rulesā so they would at least understand why they could not yet start a new discussion. I do not know if Bambu can make this change or if that requires a change in the Discourse software. If the latter, I would think this would be an issue for all forums using Discourse.
Thatās a good solution as well.
I donāt seem to be able to post a new topic! Wish I knew what to do without reading through piles of info.

Most questions have been asked and answered already, so a search for your topic may find the answer you seek while fulfilling the reading requirements. Adding posts to another topic will NOT increase your trust level.
I understand that having a problem and not getting immediate access can be irritating, but the policy is very effective to prevent unwanted spam and improves the forum for the regular users. The vast majority of the responses you will receive here is provided by those users. Bambu representatives might acknowledge a problem with an apology,but they do not often check in with an actual answer. If you want Bambu to provide official support you will need to submit a support ticket.
If you think you have fulfilled the requirements for Basic trust level but still cannot create a topic, try logging out of the forum and then log in again. Sometimes the database does not update immediately.
Attempting to do this now. It is crazy that this is a requirement in the first place.

Discobot tutorial isnāt a requirement, it just helps new users to understand how to use the forum features.

This forum is terrible!. I have a problem with my printer, and its totally impossible to write something hereā¦ It is like Bambu hates the users. I will never get a Bambu lab printer for sure!, their supoprt and this forum is totally worthless.

well, yes it is totally impossible to start a new topic, but for some reason I can write in this thread. Not sure who yought it was a good idea to have to write a PhD to be able to write something in the forum. Its not like I am here to hang with people, I only come to forums when I have a problem. I hope Bambu labs understand that. I have P1S, but I am thinking of just making it a lesson to never buy a Bambu lab printer again, and just take the parts of it and call it a day. When doing calibration, the printer is silent when doing the left side calibration. On the right side it sounds so bad that you can hear it 3 rooms away from where the printer is standing (and I have made the belt stay in the middle of every idler, I have greased where the wiki told me, and I have also tried some youtube tricksā¦ nothing works). This is totally normal according to Bambu labs support. I guess I can take 3 stepper motors from it, and maybe 2 linear shafts.
I have been trying to return an order for several weeks. I put logged several tickets, I sent pictures and all I keep receiving is we received your ticket. This has been very frustrating!!! I need to return the order. the boxes have not been opened. We ordered this by mistake. Your company was quick to take my order but returning is something else. Please advise urgently.
Man Iām having issue with bambu studio on windows, tried every solution I found and it didnāt work. Thought Iād make a post on this forum so someone can help me, but no, Iām not allowed to post, this trust thing is the worst Iāve ever seen, just make it similar to that of stack overflow where you canāt upvote until you have a certain level of ātrustā.
Hi there, i have a P1S and recently started printing full beds of products. I have noticed that objects that have at some heights slightly flexible walls, are prone to let the toolhead colliding with the object on its travel move to another object. So i feel the bed needs to be lowered slightly for traveling to avoid these collisions. In my case objects have arch windows in leaning walls. As soon as the section of these windows is completed, it does not have this collisions anymore
So I have to build up ātrustā before I can ask my question??

Dear lord I canāt believe itās almost the end of 2025 and this issue still hasnāt been fixed. Iāve been logged in and reading several posts including this one for well over 10 minutes and still only have credit for reading 1 minute of posts and 3 posts read. It should not be this hard to make a new post and it should be way easier to understand what counts towards this arbitrary requirement. All any new user wants is to make a post detailing their issue. Yes, Iāve googled my problem every which way I can think of but havenāt found an answer although Iām sure itās something stupid simple. Would be nice if I could actually make a post instead of a reply.
Also, I get that this is to repel scammers and bots and to encourage community engagement. But guess what? As someone new to printing, I donāt think you want me commenting on everyone elseās posts telling them how to fix their printers. But I guess I could give them my crappy suggestions 
Youāve reached Basic trust level, try logging out and then back in to force Discourse to recognize your new status.
One of my A1 mini printers at layer 3 stops and reports nozzle covered about every 3 or 4 jobs, also the same printer takes about four times longer to dyn flow cal.
