Get "failed to connect to server" message--nothing works to fix it

I have read all about the recent issues and remedies–tried them all, I just cannot get Bambu Studio connected to the server–my printers are ok, I can see the cameras, but not the AMS, and just can’t send prints over the network—tried downgrading recent firmware, etc. not sure what to do next–I will try wiping out all Bambu related files on the computer and starting over.

Unless you have a firewall or antivirus that is blocking it.

Having the same issue. No changes in my network/firewall/hardware/software. Verified everything is connected on the printer and the software, but Bambu software will not connect to the server to print.

same here. Everything was fine before. Switched printer on in the morning, firmware update is offered. Did the update and run Studio, but same message appears. No antivirus, switched off windows firewall, etc. Nothing helps.
Orca slicer works and prints.

Found a fix. Log out of Bambu Studio on desktop then sign back in. Unlinking printer alone doesn’t work. Have to log off then log on again and it worked for me and others.

Hope that helps!

Nope, this was NOT the solution for me.

Just be sure to totally log out of Bambu Studio. You have to hit “log out” twice in sequence. I am used to hitting “log out” and then something like “confirm” – but to log off the slicer. – have to log out twice in sequence. Logging out at the printer is easy and more obvious. Just another of the little things “lost in translation”

I just had this problem happen, came here and the suggestion from @fixthisbuildthat to log out of Bambu Studio and back in again fixed the issue for me. Thanks!

I only get this issue on Studio 1.6 beta. And logging out and back in doesn’t work. I generally have to reboot. My stable version of 1.5 on another PC works just fine. It seems as though the issue is in the module that connects to the printer, not the profile. I can log off the profile and back on, but can’t log off the printer and back on. Basically, the program doesn’t know that the printer even exists.

The 1.6 beta isn’t bad but it is far from stable. This is two out of four uses where this has happened. I’d suggest people stay on the 1.5 or Orca right now.

Ive got the same problem, printer has error code 0500 0200 0002 0005 1533 02, and while it connects to my router, will not connect to the internet, have tried connecting to multiple networks, have logged out and back in, have power cycled, have lowered firewalls and still wont connect. Have resorted to SD card printing, but would like the connection back

It is an old thread… Are there any solution?

I have the same issue on macOS.
Bambu Studio 1.8.2.56 has this error every couple of seconds - it reconnects for a moment and then again this error, but the Bambu Handy app on iOS works seamlessly without any issues.
I tried OrcaSlicer - the same behavior.

I’ll tell you my experience with this problem, and how I solved it. Maybe some of you no longer know what to feel and I can help them.

I had this issue a few months ago: at a certain moment I could only connect to the printer in “LAN only” mode. Account logoff and login did not work, the problem was the same: failed to connect to server. Cheched firewall, antivirus, everything: none.

Then, almost by chance, I discovered that if I activated the wifi router on my cell phone and connected to it with the computer, everything was fine again!

This had made me suspicious, and in fact I had discovered that the home IP address did not have a good reputation, it was present in a couple of blacklists (out of about a hundred queried). I restarted the router to renew the lease, but nothing: new IP address, but still in blacklist. So I called my internet provider who after a few days assigned me a new, static, IP address: problem solved!

I found a solution that may help for some cases. For me the issue only occurs on my laptop when I’m at work. I don’t have issues at home or on my phone connecting. It occurred to me that my wifi at work may be restricting access, so I connected my laptop to my cell phones hotspot and voilà! Works fine now.

I am having the exact same issue too. Windows 10. I have tried literally every possible thing I can think of. All the suggestions on Wiki do not work (for me anyway) A1 which is 1 day old. Downgraded latest firmware update. Allowed all permissions on firewall. Checked antivirus. Uninstalled Bambu lab on laptop, factory reset printer, talked nicely to it, swore at it but literally nothing works it says an error code of 3030 cannot find Bambu servers. I can see the printer on the network it will just not send prints. All the settings on my network have been checked and double checked. Every other device on my network is working perfectly apart from my brand new A1 printer. I am disabled (cannot walk at all) and being able to send prints to the printer over the network was a major selling point for me. Now I am back to having to use the SD card all the time and plugging it in so I am no better off than I was with my Ender! I hope this is sorted out.

OK same but different issue. Bambu studio want a pass code listed in setting. OK. The issue is the pass code has both numbers and letters. Bambu studio will only take numbers and only six digits and the printer has eight . Can anyone help. thanks

The P1 and A1 series provide a 6 digit PIN to bind the printer to your account, but the X1 series does not (yet). That option is supposed to be part of a future X1 firmware update.

The 8 character alphanumeric access code is used for LAN-only mode.

The only certain way I know to bind the printer to your account is with the Handy app on your phone and the QR code provided during initial setup.

From the main screen, tap Settings(hex icon)>General>Restore Factory Settings. You will be led through the setup procedure again (selecting your region, wi-fi setup, etc) and a QR code will appear on the screen to be scanned with the Handy app. Follow the prompts. Once the printer is bound to your account, you will not need a PIN.

having to connect to server when all you want to do is print, is annoying.
it always seems to drop out when I start getting into a groove, there needs to be a USB c option
