I placed a order for the new A1 standard with some additional filaments. I paid for the order partially with gift cards accumulated from makerworld and the rest with payment from Klarna.
A little while afterwards I receive a mail that my order is partially paid and there is 160€ outstanding on my order. This weirdly equals to 4 gift cards so I check my order confirmation email and the Order confirmation page that was still open in my browser.
On my browser I fully see that all my gift cards is registered correctly and the remainder is paid through Klarna as expected. But on the email order confirmation I see that there is missing 4 gift card references.
I log in to check the order state in the webpage which also says the order is partially paid.
I try to continue to the payment and add in the last 4 gift cards that might not have been registered but the page says there is no more funds on the gift cards which confirms they were used in the original payment.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues when using gift cards accumulated from makerworld ?
I have previously had good experiences of using my gift cards.
PS! I have opened a support ticket in the support site on the bambu lab store. This thread is just to check if anyone else has experienced similar issues.
It should be easy to detect on their side as the klarna payment is covering the remainder of the order. So all Gift Cards was registered on the original order. But there is something happening on the backend systems after the order and payments go through that for some reason removes some of the gift cards on the order while the gift card amount is still removed from the remaining gift cards.
Eventhou I was buying a A1 Standard which has a limited amount of printers available I will wait for their response. Hopefully it won’t take too long.
I had that exact thing happen to me. In my case, it registered only 8 of the cards, and 3 were “lost”.
It took a while to get support to sort this out, but in the end, they offered for me to pay the difference or re-supply the 3 voucher codes that did not get applied. They blamed it on a ‘system limitation’. My guess is that they only take 8 vouchers at a time.
Ultimately they did process the order, but it took some time and frustration to get worked out.
I registered 9 gift cards, where 4 was “Lost”.
This limit or mechanism might be a new measure to try to prevent fraudulent use of gift cards.
I’ll wait and see what they say. I have both printers and filament for the time being, but I wanted to add a A1 to my small print farm and resupply some of my base filament colors
I have encountered this problem twice. The previous time I checked out and paid, it showed “partially paid”. After canceling the order, I found that 4 gift cards were invalid.
After checking out and paying today, I encountered the same problem again. I had to cancel the order first and use the remaining gift cards to pay A1. I could only open a ticket to claim the three expired gift cards. I think this is a bug in the payment system, not an anti-theft mechanism.
I had a response on my support case asking me to pay the remainder so that they afterwards could give me back the “lost” gift cards. I find it weird thou that when they already see that it is a fault on their side that they can’t fix it on their end instead of me paying an additional 160€ on the order.
I wouldn’t have placed that order in this point in time if I did not have the cards available.
Are you ordering via mobile phone or PC? I placed two orders using Chrome on PC, and there was a “partially paid” problem when the payment was completed.
All 9 gift cards was successfully added in the checkout and showing the correct amount. Then I paid the rest of the order through Klarna which completed the order.
I received a order confirmation afterwards showing that the order went through.
After a little while I received a new email saying that the order was partially paid and lacking 160€
But what I have noticed afterwards is that only 5 of the gift cards is showing in the order confirmation received on email. But the remaining 4 gift cards have been used on the order regardless and now show 0 credits when trying to input them again in the payment for the remaining amount.
It is not a very big issue for me and support and communication from Bambu Lab is very good on the support ticket.
The reason I made a post here is to see if anyone had experienced the same and to try to figure out if there is any similarities between each case.
I encountered the same problem as you. Last time, the customer service asked me to cancel the order and refund the expired gift certificate amount. This time I used 12 gift certificates. After I chose to return the product, I found that 3 gift certificates had not been returned. The numbers of these 3 gift certificates had become invalid. However, after this response, another customer service member told me that there was no way to return the expired gift certificates. Still in distress.
After detailed explanations back and forth, the customer service staff has assisted in refunding the gift certificate amount, but I still hope that the order checkout payment problem can be fixed to prevent others from encountering the same thing.
