Could someone point me to the H2C firmware 1.2.0 mentioned in the Bambu Studio 2.6.1Public Beta release notes underneath the Filament Track Switch Module for H2C update? I’ve searched github and Bambu’s site but cannot locate the firmware they referenced in the Release Notes.
I thought by plugging in a new Filament Track Switch to the H2C would trigger the printer to recognize the that an update was required. I was wrong 
This firmware isn’t publicly available yet. I hope they’re working on it. Because all H2C owners are eagerly awaiting it!
Bambu always refers to firmware that will be available in weeks or even months.
I thought the H2C had a different version of the filament track switch?
No…the product page is pretty clear that it’s one part, users just need to print a mount that’s specific to their printer.
I was hoping that someone on the forum had a secret place we could grab the firmware to do a offline upgrade… Wishful thinking. Bambu keeps teasing me! LOL
You’re absolutely correct. I had to print the bracket and the ptfe tube routing parts. I installed the switch on the X2D already and it works as described. I’m just really anxious about installing on the H2C and since Bambu keeps mentioning the Filament Track Switch in relation to the H2C in their Studio release notes, I would figure the firmware is lurking out there somewhere. I guess I can dream lol.
At least in the shop it states Q2 for H2C and 2nd semester for H2D so this time, seems H2C will be ahead of H2D 
2months max to wait for new H2C firmware but as we have àready been in Q2 for a month, it may come anytime.

I was fully aware that Bambu was going to support the Filament track switch for the H2C in Q2 when I purchased it for the X2D. I bought two in anticipation. My issue is that Bambu keeps teasing me, LOL, with showing the H2C when they show the filament track switch in their release notes but we can’t use it yet. I personally wouldn’t mention it in my release notes until it is available to use. The verbiage should focus on the X2D which works just fine. Just my opinion. I really wanted to know if someone had a 1.2.0 beta floating around that I didn’t know about and could possibly get my hands on. Happy Printing and thanks for the response.
Nope, this is the wrong take.
Bambu makes Studio publicly viewable on Github, anyone can audit their software and know what’s going on in it.
Stuffing features in the software and not mentioning them in release notes is bad practice. So is not mentioning them initially and then editing release notes after the fact to mention them later.
I’m in the exact same boat as you, except I only have the H2C, and bought the track switch the day it was announced. Maybe I’ll design a mount for it in the meantime so I’m ready to go when it’s released.
If you develop the mount, please do share. I unfortunately am not well versed in CAD although I tried to learn Fusion and TinkerCAD. Just as a quick note, I would suggest you try to use Bambu or close to Bambu type filament for the Filament Track Switch. Although I have not had any major printing problem because of the switch, for some reason running certain filament through the switch caused my print to pause. I will tell you this, the printer, after 3 tries rerouted the filament that was having the problem to the Main nozzle and kept going without issue. Not sure what code they implemented to have the switch redirect from the aux nozzle to the main nozzle if it gets stuck but that’s some impressive coding.
It’s hardly clear when there’s 3 options to choose from when selecting the device for each printer…
Surely it should be x2d/h2c/h2d rather than a seperate selection for each unit, if it’s the same device.
Yup, will do. Right now the H2 mounts that I can find on MW are pretty bad, they’ve got the PTFE tubes really tightly bent; totally missing the point of the feed optimization Bambu is trying to achieve.
Also, nobody has a design that integrates 4 into 1 PTFE joiners.

Don’t know if it’s only a schematic but the wiki shows that in the menu the switch is installed in the top center of the rear panel on H2
Im not sure why it would matter. I would think that the shortest ptfe distance would make filament changes faster.

The device is the same. Because it has 2x 400mm PTFE. For the X2D you only need 115mm.
They need separate items, because they have other mountings/wiki links.
That’s correct. The team is working on the final details and we should have a Beta version available soon, probably early May.
Once it’s ready, I will make sure to post all the details in the forum.
