Then it’s not the right build plate for me. I’m just too impatient.
My current favorite is the CryoNix from Fysetc.
After testing it for this thread, I didn’t use it again.
Until a user here kept raving about the build plate, I finally started using it actively on my H2D, and now I’m totally thrilled with it.
I then bought another one for my P2S, where it performed very well for a long time. That is, until I bought the X2D. From then on, I had major adhesion problems with PETG on both the P2S and X2D using the CryoNix. It’s also the first build plate I’ve ever cleaned with soap and hot water. But I couldn’t get it back to its old performance. Very strange. Maybe the plate is end-of-life—but after only less than 200 hours of use?
However, I find that the Kdeavi has better adhesion than the Frostbite Blue, and it has a less coarse pattern.
Ever since the Frostbite Blue for the H2D was released, I’ve always had the feeling that the plate has changed compared to the Frostbite for the X1C. But maybe that’s just my imagination.
The Frostbite Orange, on the other hand, has excellent adhesion (it’s slightly fluffy). I only have it for the A1m, though.
If not Frostbite or Kdeavi, I would recommend the Supertack Pro for extreme adhesion. I’ve used it a few times, but it’s too sticky for PETG, which is why I’m currently using CryoNix. I also like the finer texture on the first layer (similar to Glacier).
I still have an unused one lying around and wanted to mill a version for the A1m.
I wanted to do the same for the Frostbite Orange. The version for the Prusa XL is large enough to mill out a plate for the H2D.
