Ablauf :
have you submitted a ticket yet? I didn’t notice this but this on my machine but it looks like a bug that urgently needs to be fixed, either in Bambu Studio or firmware.
This is what I received today in response to my ticket.
Customer Support: I have reported this issue to the R&D department, and I received feedback that this issue has already been noticed and will be fixed in the next firmware update
And today this:
Please note that your ticket has been marked as “Resolved”, but if you still need assistance, you can reopen it with a reply and we will continue to provide support.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know when and how quickly a solution will be found.
Again comes the very vital question of how much, if ANY quality control is happening at Bambu.
There is beta testers doing the hard work for Bambu and in return they face a lot of issues but still we see updates rolling out that wreck the printer…
Where I come from this is quite close to insulting…
But IF there is people using the same combo it brings the additional question of what the causing factors would be…
So we still go in the same circle that includes proper testing followed by conclusive beta tests to result in a release that works as advertised…
If it happened for one or a few users it already means the circle failed - just my opinion though…
Since my H2D doesn’t offer me any firmware update these days, I’m stuck with the shipment FW, which is 01.00.01.03
My question now: is it safe to perform that calibration procedure?
Is the collision only happening in that ONE particular firmware 01.01.02.04, OR in any firmware before 01.01.02.07 ?
The collision issue came with v01.01.02.04 but it is not during regular calibrations of the printer whether on studio, handy or printer screen but only if using the flow dynamics calibration from Bambu Studio which is a special calibration process you don’t need to launch.
Strange though that your printer came with v01.00.01.03 which is not listed anywhere… Even the very first firmware is listed as v01.01.00.00 so you’re saying you even have an older firware than that?
Thank you for that information.
Reason for me looking into flow dynamics calibration in Bambu Studio is an issue with some Ultrafuse PLA that I had before switching to Bambu Filament.
Generic PLA works okay, but is limited to 12 mm³/s volumetric flow where the Ultrafuse datasheet states 35 mm³/s. So I tried 20 and the printer can easily keep up - but I think the ratio factor needs to be adjusted.
And instead of doing dozens of test prints manually that feature comes in quite handy. But when reading through the firmware topics I got scared to use it.
Unfortunately I’m no longer seeing the “update firmware” on the printers screen anymore for whatever reason. So I need to stick to that old one for now.
