BambuLab is clearly teaching us that it’s smarter to buy their products only once they’ve matured.
First, because they’ll cost less later on, and second, because they’ll have had time to fix everything, thanks to the “early adopters” who acted as unpaid testers at their own expense.
In simple terms: we shouldn’t trust them anymore.
I was thinking of getting an H2C as well, but at this point, I don’t trust it anymore.
How many — and what kind of — problems could such a complex system like Vortek introduce?

I’m sorry, but that’s how I see it now. And judging by how things are going, it seems pretty clear that the firmware and software departments — both in terms of headcount and competence — are far below expectations.
Literally the opposite as snapmaker, the early adopters pay A LOT LESS but coming from bambu i expect to have suport working hard in every product watching the price of the printers
If you’re referring to the U1 I am cautiously optimistic… Its not even out yet, I wouldn’t heap praises on them just yet simply because they discounted the printer on Kickstarter. I got in on the early bird so hoping its worth the money and hype… It could still be a big dud.
I would be suprised if they get any of the auto calibrations to work at all, when it swings over 300% from the values that print optimal and what the auto calibration thinks is the optimal you can’t trust that gimmick at all.
I’ve run into several instances where this would have been nice. There are both ends of the spectrum too. Like, I just want to run a single filament print with the 0.2mm nozzle. It’d be nice to not have to swap both nozzles or deal with the alarms. Or, on the more complex end of the spectrum, how awesome would it be to put a large bore nozzle for infill while keeping the fine nozzle for exterior walls!
Yes, but compared to its Chinese competitors, Bambu is more expensive, so it’s only fair to expect more from it — at least in terms of quality. We bought the flagship… and spent a lot of money for that.
We can only hope the company learns from its mistakes, works to improve itself, and makes real investments — especially in the quality and quantity of its staff.

It’s unacceptable for a product to hit the market and not be full usable after you’ve paid for it. That’s just not okay.
Sheesh, yours is showing that much deviation between manual and auto? I would probably start thinking about putting a new eddy sensor in. It shouldn’t be that far off.
no, it’s just how it is, there’s no “best PA”, the automatic PA gets a value from its testing method (nozzle back-pressure check), while the pattern based PA gets a value from another method, which is often different from line based PA values.
From my previous experiences, I often get higher PA values (0.03 ish) than pattern based values (0.02 ish) from my automatic calibrations.
I would argue that the product is fully usable. It’s a 3d printer that prints things. It’s core functionality is very robust. I’m unsure of what you are referring to being unusable?
I find it hilarious that you bring up the automotive industry. The amount of recalls and software/hardware updates post sale on a new model of vehicle is staggering. This is normal across that industry.
I’ve been in product development for 20 years and from my experince it is near impossible to release a relatively complex new product and have it “perfect”. There will always be updates, revisions, hot fixes.
It would take forever to get it to market and when you do get it to market the tech will be outdated.
There is always someone out there that will use the product in ways never intended or anticipated.
Can you point me to where this was promised on release? I’ve only ever seen this as speculation and not a firm statement with a timeline from Bambu.
You have a lot of coments in the forum of the acc of bbl saying is gona come soon and in the product page of the H2D was saying in asterisc is gonna be able in the future blablabla and the printer was printing multicolor in the prime towers like ■■■■ for 3 months and thats the only fix you get after 2-3 months, so please dont be the tipical guy who is defending a corp, im honest always when bambu is right it is and when is not like the case of dropping this hard the support of a printer released this year with a lot of bugs in the firmware and problems with one of his main features, this is bad, no matter how much you talk, is a signal, the updates where every 1 month as much with a lot of features fixing the initial shitty problems and we still have a long way to take all the potential and the power of this machine talking in firmware updates blablablabla so, yeah, you are going against a lot of ppl who purchased THE MOST EXPENSIVE PRINTER FROM BAMBU and they are obviusly complaining about the fixes and updates for their problems because bambu is going SUUUUUUUUUUPER slow because they are working in other printers
