XL is kind of a non-starter due to no enclosure or chamber heater. That tent they sell is a joke. Totally weird machine… price out of reach of consumers (PLA/PETG), and feature set not appropriate for people that can afford it (ABS/PA).

That aftermarket one? SUMO? Its still not the same as a purpose built printer thats enclosed and with chamber heater. Im not looking for a project, I want a turn key solution that designed from the ground up for ABS/PA.

The H2D looks to be ideal for a lot of my needs/wants/dreams, and has some extra fluff that I can’t wait to try out. I think the core of it’s 3d printer aspects are spot on though. I think they’ll have to fluff this up pretty bad to make it a dud of a product.
There’s some aspects, like I know some aren’t as excited by the build volume. I think it’s well enough. To be obvious, big printers are big. I had a Kobra 2 Max, and it was a nice printer, but it took up more space than my mom’s butt. And if you know my mom, well you know that accounts for a zip code all it’s own.
The H2D seems to strike enough of a balance in those regards, between footprint in the room and build volume size. Well, that’s just based off of the leaked info so far, so how that pans out in reality we’ll see.
As cool as it all is though, I do wish we were seeing an X2. I realized this when they teased that first image. One of the things I really want on my X1/P1 is that A1 style nozzle. Ahh, All the little modern advancements they’ve made since the X1’s original release. It’s such a great printer.
Here’s a question for y’all. Will the H2D replace the X1C for you?

No. In fact, I am still on the fence on H2D non-laser combo. I want to see the full release and see how it goes for others first. If it’s good and I can’t wait for X2 (?), which should have the updated features, to come out, then I will get one.
I will get the AMS 2 Pro though.

Seeing as my X1C is getting long in the tooth, and no upgrades probably ever, I went ahead and ordered the H2D. The only way to know a printer is to own it.
My order is in… H2D + combo + hot end + encoder. Will have to wait untill AMS HT. Shipping April 3rd.
I dunno. This seems like a bit of a rush launch. There aren’t unit already shipping, I can’t buy materials, HT is unpurchasable, AMS 2 PRO is basically hidden away…
Nice. The price was a pleasant surprise. Still $3500 with the good laser but still. Im guessing the ht and the 10w laser added gets me close to the $4,000 mark. The one month wait was kind of weird since they said they had units in stock and i ordered within 15 seconds
Oh wait. Encoder is extra? FFS. Now I have to get it.

nope you need to add it as an option (it does have a discount if you add to the printer combo though)
in the EU the H2D combo costs €2.199,00 EUR, and the laser version is priced at €2.799,00 EUR… However adding all the other (good to have/ or required) stuff, brings the first one close to 3+k while the second close to 3.7-4 k…
Does it include at least one high flow hotend, or is that extra as well? I mean, I see that they sell extras, but I hope it includes one. Otherwise this is like buying a car , and the seats are extra.
Yeah. With the vision encoder, 40w laser, and high flow nozzles I landed right about at 4 grand. Basically full bird flagship. What a pleasant surprise that they had variants. I want a non laser model when they come back in stock
