as i was not able to edit (probably my own fault) the topic where i shared my orbit planter design, i’m creating this thread which i’ll update whenever i launch a new design, instead of creating one for each less spammy is good for everyone i think
today i’m sharing the echo · planter · that comes with two plate styles, wrap-around and traditional style, and also a profile scaled at 75%
new design published today, zephyr · bonsai planter
for this design i used magnets to center the planter into the plate, which i think is a nice way to always have it aligned
decided to create a model to participate in the board games contest, so did my take on the traditional dominoes, with a standard and a mini size, including a case and pieces stand
yeah thinking about it and playing with patterns in fusion, but to be honest, i’m thinking there will be a flood of ai stuff coming in for the contest that i’m not sure it justifies the effort, i’m thinking of starting to pivot a bit to things that AI can’t make (yet)
This is my MO. It can be tough in one sense, but much more rewarding in another.
Counter point. Sometimes it’s about you, and the people that enjoy your work; not what others are doing. I mentioned about an ornament because I want one specifically from you, with your styling, that represents you as a designer.
I frankly wont look at the Christmas contest. If I saw a collection though that was ornaments from my favorite designers, I’d be checking that out, post haste.
thanks Josh, appreciate it, i do appreciate doing decor, really enjoy playing with shapes and patterns, so now i’m motivated to publish some x-mas stuff - thanks!
but will indeed start learning about more mechanically and function inclined designs, i do like industrial design, just need to figure out first what I want to do, and then learn how to do it
