Ordered my printer the day of the launch while it was still in stock.
Haven’t got a tarcking number yet, I live within the EU and usually DHL ships within Germany with a handover to PostNord in Scandinavia. This usually works extremly well, so I guess Bambu got flooded with orders not knowing what to do.
A friend of mine order at a later time when the printers was marked as out of stock, he have however received a tracking number.
Yes, my printer came with GEL and from the outside the package seemed to be fine.
I was opening a ticket and asking how they will solve it (new unit vs refund and spare parts).
I will not simply accept a single spare part since I will always have the feeling that i payed the full price and that other defects are still undetected.
Since the Fan ist still not mounted I wasn’t able to Test the unit yet. I was mainly doing all the videos/documentation for the ticket since Bambulab doesn’t really trust the customer (at least my experience)
At least i got my Filament. Do you always need to wait 5 working days to get filament?
So, i have 2× Hotends 0.2mm
1 × Filament dryer
And some filament to do my first 3D prints.
I hope it is anough for some fail prints as everyone says a 3D print noob will make.
First post and Noob to 3D printing, H2D is my first 3D printer, ordered the combo at launch, shipped via FEDEX from CA to south FL, came one day after what the Tracking said it would come, Fedex was nice enough to bring it straight into my office, but lifting it up the desk was still a small challenge
I thought so too, i already have another 16 spools in my basket. But i wanted to add the vision plate first before ordering. On the other side, it will take 5 whole working days before i get the stuff…
I almost still ordered, but i am not even sure if i get the printer, it is in working order… so i did not.
I receive nearly everything in stock in 2, maximum 3 working days.
except the thing I really want fast and thats the H2D. Still no updates whatsoever besides that it left the transshipment point. Great work… two days for a few hundred kilometers.
Seems like it. Mine only had one original label with no signs of removal or overlay. Just a typical excuse from local FedEx hubs to delay unloading or transferring freight.
No, sometimes the barcodes on the labels get damaged so when the automated sorting systems can’t read the barcode the package gets shunted off to an exception belt where a human has to rekey the tracking number and look up the package in the system; then reprint a new label and then send it back to the sorting belt.
Except there isn’t a new barcode on mine and it was still marked as replaced. It also stat at a FedEx location for 3 days untouched. No need to make excuses for their horrendous disservice.
Welcome on the forum and have fun 3D printing. I hope you will find it as magical as most of us do. A roll of plastic turning into something is just that.
On Topic: Another day and another non progress from GEL side. It’s just ridicilous. Now even the track and trace throws an error. And I mean just one word when entering the tracking code : Error…
I fear I am indeed going to be the living proof that this company deserves its reviews
EDIT: Just after I posted this and about 20 minutes I sent them an email my status changed to: Im Avisierungsprozess.
That means I should expect a call and delivery should take place tomorrow. Which sucks because I am on a businesstrip then. Atleast something to look forward to on Saturday
My “Anvisierungsprozess” started at 10:52 on Monday and is still ongoing. So don’t expect a call any time soon. Reading soe GEL Express reviews, I expect the worst. The delivery should be well documented.
I received a reply from.bambu regarding the broken parts of the printer. They only offered me a replacement side panel. I will now check whether the printer is working and If there are other visible defects. But i am Not willing to Accept a simple replacement part due to the fact that i payed for w working unit (without additional work and the risk of undetected defects and tolerances (printer must have seen serious impact or Strain for the broken parts)
I am sure i wont get the printer this week.
As long as there is no damage i am also okay with that. But if the printer is damaged i fear there will have months ahead of problems and discussions to get a new one. I realy fear that outcome.
Not even you guys in Germany have all your printers, and i am sitting here in Austria.
I realy hope for the best. I am sory for you that you only get some spareparts.
And it is exactly how you say, there could be problems with tolearances and other strained printer components.
I would not want spare parts eather.
Instead of late afternoon, my printer just arrived half an hour ago with GEL.
He also helped me to bring it into my house, which was really nice.
But there was some visible damage on the outside of the parcel - like a roughly 30 cm long opening, which was torn open. I still decided to just take the parcel, as it seemed that there was nothing really pushed inside.
At the inside, everything is perfectly fine, as there is more than enough packaging but anyway, nothing hit the inner package.
But still - remember to check your parcels and if they are looking seriously damaged, do not accept them if you have a bad feeling about it! I know that most of us just want to start printing, but sending this monster back (without increase the chance of further damage and explantion to bambulab) will be tricky afterwards.
I will also come back here after I checked the inside of the printer. But first I will take my breakfast (almost 11 AM but whatever) and carry this thing into the upper floor.
