I have a part that needs colored numbers flush to its geometry, and when I paint the numbers they apear to be all the correct color, but when I slice the numbers I get random bands of yellow across the numbers. the numbers were all just slightly extruded in the stl
Could you try with Orca slicer?
Change the type of the text from a part to a modifier. Solves most of my text problems.
