Hi there, I have this part and want to use another color for the parts circled in red.
AMS is ready
There is a tutorial or someone can help me to learn how to do properly?
Thank you so much

Hey. Check out this video. It takes a long time, but it is very detailed and you shouldn’t have any problems coloring your parts yourself afterwards
Hi, the video is super interesting and I have learned a lot of things, but my model looks soooo much more complicated and I have no idea on how to do it properly. I tried several way but it’s too much complicate. Maybe for the detail ?
Check out my screenshots of what I do on one of my projects.
Point 1. You have to start with the edge. Use the “triangle” tool to do this.
Point 2. Once you have painted the edge in detail, you can use the “circle” tool to fill in the rest.
Point 3. You definitely have to zoom in to the maximum and look at everything from many angles.
Then you shouldn’t have any problems. Yes, it is a lot of work. But it’s definitely worth it as you can see from the finished result
I played around with the painting yesterday after seeing this post. One thing that really sped things up was using the fill tool and then playing with the smart fill angle. The lower the angle, the smaller the sections it breaks up into. In addition, I learned that you can click and hold the left mouse button down over the surface and drag across the model to paint adjacent surfaces quite fast. On larger models with a lot of details, it’s always going to be a bit cumbersome, but that’s the nature of detail painting in general isn’t it? Hopefully this helps a bit!
