Polymaker’s Houston facility OK? Then it’s about 20?
Tangled’s “you can have any color as long it’s black”? Then it’s about 13 (when buying 3 pack when not a member) or 10 + 7/month…

What about GOOD USA made filament. Some times cheap is not necessarily the way to go.

I use American Filament PLA for Lithophane and so far have been very happy with it. I am new to 3D printing so my opinion may not really amount to much. YMMV

Polar also has free shipping over $45.

I don’t mind paying a few extra $$ for US.

IIID MAX out of Florida. $22 for PLA+ but ~$12 each if you buy 10 spools.

Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread, I’m surprised that there is quite a bit of US made filament available at reasonable prices.

If anyone has any quality or other observations about these manufacturers please add it to the thread.

Thanks all for your replies. I too would prefer to buy US.

This thread is great! Always prefer to buy US but the Bambu filament had been so much cheaper until now.

I’ve used a couple PLA colors from COEX (love their Iced Amethyst) and a bunch of stuff from Zyltech. Both print great after calibrating them in my P1S.

I’ve had the most experience with Zyltech. I love their rainbow and gradient silks. Have also used some of their standard PLA colors, ABS, and PETG with no issues (after calibration). They do free shipping over $75 and they have some bulk order discounts. My only “complaint” with them is that their “metallic” colors don’t seem to look very metallic when printed, at least not compared to what I’m used to with the Bambu metallics.

Curious to check out the other manufacturers everyone has listed.

Edit: Is Ambrosia filament really made here? I found their website and zooming in on their label, it looks like their stuff is made in China

Yup, I’ll edit the list.

Note that not all Zyltech filaments are made in the US either.

Yep, but seems like they are slowly converting over to all US made stuff. Seems like everytime I visit the site, more of their colors are listed as US made.

Hatchbox has some PLA that is made in the US and it looks like they are planning on transitioning 1 filament type at a time. $32 a spool and it does not look like there is a quantity discount. I like their PETG, but I have never tried their PLA.

They recycle PLA and PETG 27.99 for PLA $28.99 for PETG. They are sold out of every single filament right now, but this is also somewhere that we can ship our printer poop to and they give you store credits that you can use to purchase more filament. I have not tried their filament yet. When they get some in stock, I will though and report back.

I have used a lot of the coex 3d filament mostly pla, and some petg. it prints without issues for me.
There was one time i bought 5 rolls and some how i picked the 2.85mm instead of the 1.75 mm
They emailed me before they shipped it and asked if i was sure that i wanted the 2.85 mm and emailed them back and told them i made a mistake and thank you for reaching out to me. Now is that customer service or what.

There filament is from the recipes of dupont they bought the rights from them after dupont decided to get out of that business.
Also they have all the json presets for bambu on there website for you to download to add to your slicer.
If your in Wisconsin they will give you a tour of the facility.

Thanks for the recycle info. I have been wondering if there was such a place, My “green” wife is trying to get me more interested in recycling, so she would be real impressed if I recycle the poop, trees and bad prints.

I recently discovered Polar. They are a few miles from the Microcenter where I was buying. So far so good.

sell the wife, buy more filament

Not an option, she is the one funding my obsession.
