I am receiving this error when trying to print from the AMS. I removed the AMS and found a broken piece of filament in one of the 4 tubes. But after putting it back together I am still getting the same error. Filament won’t load past the AMS. I can hear a motor running at the back of the AMS but filament won’t load.
I can still print without the AMS by using the spool holder.
I did that already. I pulled the 4 tubes, ran a piece of filament through each. That is where I found the broken piece. Ran a piece of filament through the extruder on the back of the filament as well.
I’m hesitant to take apart the rear AMS extruder. I fed filament through it though with no issue. But maybe something very small is in there. It doesn’t look easy to disassemble.
When I had a broken filament I had to take apart the AMS-internal HUB to find a piece of plastic that didn’t belong there. Be (very) carefull of the springs and magnets to jump out.
I ended up disassembling the AMS extruder at the back of the AMS. I didn’t find any filament but there was some plastic powder build up. I cleaned it up and that seemed to do the trick. AMS is working now.
I have P1S baught last month and got this error. I checked for the broken filament in AMS, Inside the head’s sensor and inside the head’s feeding unit groves but finally found that it was stuck and broken inside the nozel’s top end. Due to this I have to replace the nozel with the extra provided in the kit which solved the issue. But now I will try and heat the replaced nozel with the hot air gun and see if that can be removed or not. But I think it can be cleared and reused again next time. But, guys always use the good quality filament else it will be a problem always.
Hi All,
Last week I observed the same filament stuck error, and the printer was continuing to print without the filament getting applied (printing with air :)). I tried several times but still got the same behavior. Then I found that the problem is not in the printer or the filament. the issue was the layer-1 had printing time of more than 5 minutes and by default P1S do not switch ON the “Part” fan (fan that cools the nozzle and the feeding system) which was causing the filament to melt a bit making thick in the feeding unit causing it to stuck. Then in my next retry print, I manually switched ON the “Part” fan at 80% during the 1st layer itself which resolved my filament stuck issue. So, my finding is, if your 1st layer takes more than 2 minutes to print, manually switch on the “Part” fan from begining.
Happy Printing
Thanks.
I’m getting the same error and I tried cleaning the and and It didn’t work, I have checked the filament path and cleaned every single sensor but it still shows the same error. I did recently have a clogged nozzle and had to clear that area, could it be the sensor is broken?
