I have been trying to print for over an hour but keep getting the message "Printing stopped because homing z axis failed [0300-4000 202616].
I have vacuumed the floor of the printer including the recesses. The xaxis rods are clean. There is no poo or debris visible. The magnetic build plate is correctly fitted.
I have had the printer for quite a while, several months, so am reasonably familiar with it.

You have adressed the most common causes for this issue.
Less common are z-axis bearings having been pushed out of their sockets (for example by now removed poop) or debris getting stuck in the z-axis belt underneath the belt.
Sometimes though, causes can remain a mystery. Homing z-axis failed P1S
At least during manual operation, you can better identify where a problem may sit.

Thanks, you are correct. There was a build up under the machine as I had removed the vibration boots a few weeks ago.
Cheers!
