why do you continue to “fix” things that werent broken? This sidebar menu is horrible vs the old menu at the top which was much easier to navigate please give us the option to revert to old one…
hmm i want to be back in A… weird it just randomly appeared this way
Yeah, I’m not a fan either of ending up on the wrong side of the A/B test… seems I got lucky this time.
I did click through a bunch of “this is a real image” checkboxes for a couple of hours in October though, in order to update all my 100+ print profile. Turns out, today they decided, there was no need for that after all:
well thats a good thing at least, as it caused so much confusion on how we would have to go back and check real photo on thousands of previous designs
Oh, I wasn’t a fan of going through and clicking all those boxes… after all, it was individually per print profile. If you require something like this, at least provide a decent interface to review the images.
Anyway, on the other hand… I’m not sure where I stand on the “automated analysis” they mention. Maybe you’ll already have seen my reply in that thread… I don’t really feel like a bunch of discussion (or however they want to handle this) whenever an AI image analyzer comes up with a false positive.
yeah i havent been too active on here as i seem to get harassed but had to come see what the UI change was about. Ill have to look at that thread, yeah AI monitoring can be a double edged sword …
With the new interface I lost one icons column. There were 5, now an ugly menu and 4 columns.
Please @Makerworld revert to the previous UI.
If they are doing A/B testing, I must be in C.
I don’t have a menu anywhere, neither at the top of the page nor on the side… it just disappeared yesterday. There are no links to the home page, contests, community, forum, store, etc.
yeah i also have the bar on the side, i don’t mind it to be honest, and it make sense as it allows bigger thumbnails • i’m a mac user and i also place my launch bar on the side, so i’m used to it
edit/ i also use arc browser, which also has tabs on the side, but i get the layout is not for everyone!
giving us the option would be the best solution IMO
The UI is responsive, if the browser’s available width is narrow the “side-bar” is above everything else. If the width is wider it moves to the left side.
This is easy to experience on an iPad. Portrait shiws above, landscape shows left side.
If you are on a desktop, stretch or shrink the browser width by dragging the right side of the window left (shrinking or right (expand).
If you have a different experience, provide a screen shot of a narrow window and a wide one.
I run dual monitors 32inch and a 27inch full screens, it has always been on top up until last night… i didnt change anything myself and both monitors show it on the side. I just tried your shrinking window theory though and the whole menu disappeared
im on a PC of course orientation will change on tablets/ipads again i changed nothing from my standard setup , just the UI changed and i prefer to work with fullscreen windows
I have got out of bed to use my old office 55" 4K screen.
It takes time to get from one room to another. I am broken after all.
Around 3/4 width 4K 55" screen:
Less than 1/4 width on the same screen:
iPad = Safari
Desktop = macOS Chrome
When you said top and left, I thought you were talking about the big panel with achievements on it.
Reviewing…
I have checked, I do not get this on anything.
They are likely performing an A/B test to see how annoyed they can make half the users.
just tested on Microsoft Edge browser too same thing, menu is to side now…
Likely IP based, not browser or OS given the results we have just gone through.
