How do I hide this in Preview Mode

All-

I have hit something to show the gcode viewer maybe?? How do I hide the part circled in red as I do not recall it ever being there in the Preview pane. I think in Orca Slicer, you hit the C key but doesn’t work here.

Move the bottom slider to the far right or move the right hand vertical slider up or down.

As pointed out above the GCode will appear as soon you move the horizontal layer progress bar away from the far right.
To my knowledge there is no possibility to turn this preview ON or OFF in BSlicer like you can in Orca (as of now)

I’m using Orca Sliclier, my GCode preview is always on regardless of the bottom slider’s position. Far left or far right, the preview is persistent.

In Orca Slicer, pressing the C key will toggle the GCode preview pane. For some reason, the Bambu Slicer does not have this functionality.

In Orca slicer you can toggle this ON/OFF with the “C” key or you also can go to Menu - View - Show G-Code Window

Thank you very much for your reply. That was driving me nuts at times. My apologies I replied so late.

Did they remove this feature all together in v2? why???

That does not seem to work!

Seems like this is a serious deficiency! It’s nice that Orca lets you do it with a “C” key but what about Bambu Studio? HOW DO YOU CLEAR THIS THING FROM THE SCREEN??? Moving the horizontal or vertical sliders does not work. IT IS A BUG. It seems that if TOP SURFACE is not selected in the SLICING RESULT dialog box then the GCODE will be displayed regardless of where the horizontal bottom slider is. If the model does not have a TOP SURFACE then there is no selection option then the GCODE is always displayed. Running Win 11 and Bam Studio 2.0.2.57

Seems to work for me…

Gcode Preview PM

SEEMS LIKE A BUG. On my system it seems that if TOP SURFACE is not selected in the SLICING RESULT dialog box then the GCODE will be displayed regardless of where the horizontal bottom slider is. If the model does not have a TOP SURFACE then there is no selection option for TOP SURFACE and the GCODE is always displayed. Running Win 11 and Bam Studio 2.0.2.57. Anyway thanks for the reply and the illustration. My system works the same as what you’re showing provided that TOP SURFACE is selected.

I can’t seem to replicate what you say is happening in 2.0.1.50

This is the with no top layers.

Gcode Preview No top

No worries. It’s an easy work around for me to just select TOP SURFACE. And in the case where there is no TOP SURFACE I can add another object to the plate that does have a TOP SURFACE and then select it to be displayed in the Slicing Result dialog box. Tricky bug because it only shows up when an item is unselected in an unrelated dialog box. Really glad that I’m retired from the software business. Ha! Anyway thanks again for your time and attention to this. Have a great day.

I cannot replicate this issue either.

Using Studio 2.0.2.57 for Windows, the G-code box appears when the horizontal slider is even slightly to the left, disappears when the slider is full right. Moving the vertical slider forces the horizontal slider full right, so the G-code window vanishes.

Top surface presence or display makes no difference. I recently downloaded Penny Pachinko by LoboCNCMakerWorld: Download Free 3D Models, which has plates with and without top surfaces. I see the same results both with and without displaying top surfaces in Line Type, with and without actual top surfaces.

It get’s more interesting. When I unselect TOP SURFACE it snaps the bottom horizontal slider almost all the way to the left, and displays the GCODE. BUT if I then move the slider all the way to the right it still leaves the GCODE displayed. Of course maybe I’m just hallucinating.

I don’t see that behavior either.

Move the slider left on any layer, see Gcode.
Turn top surface display on or off, slider snaps right, Gcode disappears.

Where did you get those gummies?
:star_struck:

Here, you can hallucinate too!!!

I did not realize you had turned off the display of everything except Top surface. Doing that, I can get similar results.

The real cause of the sticky g-code box is related to Sparse Infill display. Turn it off and the G-code box pops up, regardless of the horizontal slider position or any other checked boxes. Changing layers with Sparse Infill off, the horizontal slider moves far right as it should, but the G-code box remains.
