How do you stack your AMS's?

Just got an AMS for left nozzle. Let’s see your AMS setups!

1 AMS hanging on wall brackets. The other on top of the machine. I’ve ordered another AMS and already printed the brackets to hang it on the wall.

Nice what’s sup.PLA in your maker world profile?

Is anyone considering that the length of the PTFE tubes is directly related to the time it takes to swap between filaments?

The shorter the length, the faster the swaps.

Trimming the ones that are supplied can reduce the time it takes to print a model with many colour changes. Trimming too short means the filament cant easily traverse the bends required.

The reason I mention this is how many design this into their “stacking” plan?

Hey the “Support for PLA/PETG” filament abbreviates to sup.PLA in the slicer if I recall correctly

I’m using one of these. https://a.co/d/4L6BF8s

I’m using this Maker World model. It’s really cost-efficient since it doesn’t require drawer slides, plus I just liked the concept. That said, if you go with this, you’ll definitely need grip tape on the bottom.

I’m also printing some drawers I just designed for the bottom of this setup, making everything sit flush with the H2D top—just for aesthetics. If the prints turn out well, I’ll share the model on Thursday (for the drawers, the stacking system is not mine).

Haha, I would have posted a picture but I don’t have one at the moment. For what it’s worth, it fits perfectly width wise and height wise.

You don’t have multiple AMS units? Well you already got the shelf hurry up and get another AMS so you can take a picture! :joy:

You mean an extra few seconds? I didn’t realize this was that big of a deal?

I love this design!! I need to download it.

I did that wall hang design too, I like leaving the top of my printer available for printing TPU directly to the extruder from the top. Made the bracket out of ASA.

Those few seconds can turn into hours saved.
