How Happy are you? P1S X1C

super happy. got 2 X1C with now 1800h on them.
have them now running 24/7 for a big order i got for 6 days. 4 same filament in the AMS as I am printing 1 item 800 times.
the printer will only pause so i can clear the bed before the next print.
got twice filament stuck in the extruder on 1 of them only and since i got them only had a 0.4 nozzle issue (clogged and was unable to open it).
last week on one of them there was noise which i figured is from the Z belt. i kept it running and after 3 days it was gone. maybe need to replace the z belt soon just in case.

There is 1 thing i figured is that they do not like to print slow! yes they do not.

every time i slow down the first layer to 15 or 20 for printing details like text or geometry I got bad adhesion.

Hey everyone! Iā€™ve just unpacked by P1S and printed my first Benchy. I must say Iā€™m positively shocked with the print quality. The upgrade from my custom reprap is simply shocking. The reliability of how it lays down the filament is really satisfying. The speed is unbelievable. No more manual bed leveling. I already know I need to buy additional 0.2 nozzle and some new materials to play with. Thanks Bambu Labs!

@Apprentice

just in case youā€™ve never done it before:

After receiving the machine and allowing it to acclimatise to room temperature, I would tighten/realighn the Belt tensioners:

I would also do this if there are large temperature fluctuations in the room, e.g. poorly heated room in the wind and hot in the summer:

What Materieals are you Printing?

Folks i found a New issueā€¦
I wanna Print in the Underground Storage of the Appartment. Unfortunately my Neighbour (very nice hungarian women) is Steam ironing in the storage next to mine. So a few Times a weak the airbis really werā€¦ Any ideas?

@DrachirS

Well, first step to win the lottery, buy a ticket

Currently I have constant offers from Reichelt for P1S combo on the screen through Google Ads, it looks like (may) a warehouse cleanup and that usually doesnā€™t happen for no reason and certainly not by such experienced traders. The prices look good, too goodā€¦ so not sure is the right time to buy a ticket.

There are already 3 German-language videos about the Qidi Plus 4 doing its wayā€¦ So Iā€™m really excited, what it looks like after Christmas.

Buy a dehumidifier with a sensor so it comes on automatically once the humidity increases. Works well for me.

Got the P1S now

But Theres Something Strangeā€¦ The Filament Poop is No Poopā€¦

X1C all the way. Got 3 X1C and decided to get a P1C based on those YouTube reviews everywhereā€¦ I regret it. Pay premium and have peace of mind.
When you are used to the lidar and spaghetti failure detection and live high res n speed cameraā€¦nah
It is so nice to wake up in the morning and find the print paused cause of spaghetti failure! P1S doesnā€™t have it and the camera really sucks, not to mention the useless control panel screen

I purchased 2 P1S combos for my classroom. They have been great. But, with the recent updates, I am now having some problems.

100% agree. Same thing happened with the p1s. Once u use x1c never go back!

I agree that the Camera on the P1S is not the best but just for looking how the print is going on Bambu Handy it is totally fine in my opinion. Display is also not the best compared to the Touchdisplay on the X1C. I bought the Panda Touch because I thougt a bigger display would be good but I found myself not using it often because I use the Smartphone app.

For me printing PLA and PETG most of the time the P1S is totally fine, I have it since beginning of december and had not a single print where i printed spaghetti, for me the lidar is not necessary but for sure this feature is nice to have. So I would definetly agree with all the youtube videos and can recommend the P1S for the most

X1C all the way once you get used to it.
Starting with a p1s as the first printer I might agree with you. But starting g with a x1c and getting p1sā€¦mehh ā€¦nope.
I had 4 x1c and p1s afterā€¦rarely used it.
Now 13 x1c.
Cheers

I have a X1C, P1S, A1 and a A1 Mini, my favourite machine is the A1, it is quiet uses little space and gets the job done. I have AMS units on all of the machines and mainly print PETG and use the AMSā€™s to hold 4 spools of the same filament so I donā€™t have to change filament continuously.

I am new to the site and forums and new to 3D printing. I just got my first printer, a P1S and I am fully addicted already, no complaints lol.

Good but its not all been plain sailing. Persistent issue with filament snapping off in the AMS (probably thanks to having a lot of 5-6 year old PLA lying about), also the print head fan plug has come out of the socket a few times (I did get a spare toolhead front and the tiny board it plugs into but havenā€™t got around to fitting the latter as you have to take the entire cover off it seems.
Also have had a couple of cases of bits of filament getting jammed at the top of the extruder which is annoying.
Its certainly not painless, but generally everything prints well. Got ASA-CF from them when I was ordering the 2 fan parts above and couldnā€™t believe how well it printed.

Hey all,

Iā€™ve a p1s and itā€™s my second printer. First was an elegoo neptune 2D.

The 2D was a temperamental beast that needed fiddling each time I went to use it. It taught me tons. Through it all I discovered that I loved 3d design and only tolerated the printing process.

The p1s / ams was a splurge purchase and Iā€™ve never looked back. It mostly ā€˜just worksā€™ and has allowed me to pursue the aspects of this hobby that energize me and keep me learning.

Starting with pla, moving to petg, then on to vapour-smoothed asa - itā€™s been a blast!

I have the P1S combo and couldent be happier with it. Im a little disappointed with the new firmware update being released but i use the bambu studio app anyways. I definitely recomend this printer.
