I messed up and made a mess!

Hey gang,

Got my brand new P1P printer yesterday and I have already broken it. Had heavily modified ender 3 for about a year before this but I have made a large mistake!

On my forth print I was printing out a bracket in Nylon (the reason I bought the printer) cleaned the bed, used the standard nylon settings in the slicer and let it go. First 5 or six layers looked excellent so I left. When I came back nylon was all over the nozzle and in the part fan ports :frowning: The part must have let go of the bed! Any way I heated the nozzle up to 300 and managed to get it out but the bottom of the fan shroud looks like a right off. I tried cutting it tried a really hot knife no avail the nylon is too tough.

What should I do? Anyone have a stl for the bottom of the shroud?

Thanks Team

What a pity, I hope you get this resolved soon. I am sure I read somewhere the P1P in its standard hardware configuration is not ideal for printing Nylon. Will see if I can find it in the Wikki.

It happened to me cupple of years ago, on a CR10S Pro, a night print fully enrobbing the print head, impossible to remove as it was inlaid everywhere.

I had to change it, hope you wonā€™t have toā€¦

the P1P is suitable for nylon if you have created an enclosure. I think thatā€™s what it said on the P1P.

I had also already bent a nozzle when printing housing, because the Drcukkopf has driven against the pressure.
Why he did that I have not been able to understand until today.

If you do not get an STL you will probably have to create someone and take the dimensions at his fairing.

For the pressure I recommend you then ā€œGreenTEC Pro Carbonā€ from Extrudr.
Is very easy to print and up to 160 degrees Celsius durable.

If you do not find anyone who makes you the STL contact me again, I would try it then.

Edit: Or you can just buy one.

it is the one from the X1 but they have in the frint actually no difference except the illuminated font

There is a cover for the P1P in the store too.

Sorry I had overlooked

You could try a soldering iron perhaps?

Sorry team I didnt see this!

Thanks for all the advice.

did you solve it now ? im really sad for you. if that happend to meā€¦ dont want to think aboutā€¦ yes luckyly you get the part in the shop and its not so expensive.

Well not really ā€œsolvedā€ I just bought a new front cover (and some nozzles because once you start orderingā€¦) Once it gets here I will change it out. The printer has been printing fine without the blocked part anyway as nylon doesnā€™t use any part cooling.

that sucks from where are you ? does the shipping take so long ? for me its 1 -3 working days after payment here in germany.
