I think I'm done with Maker World

Clearly you chose not to read the whole thread.

The rules people are complaining about are the ones added AFTER they joined the program.

I assume you also agree that joining a program knowing the rules p, the rules changed and yet you are penalised for not knowing upcoming changes is wrong, right?

Or do you side with the company that changed the rules afterwards and then took back 125% of the points. Not the 25% difference which wouldn’t have been so bad even though the poor designer had no idea the rules would change.

they need to stop removing peoples work, just put that work and its profiles on private and ask users to upload pics via handy… instead of just removing it all, this is unacceptable!!! @BambuLab

Seems like they’ve listened to requests for better workflow for taken down profiles:

It has, but the wording has changed to add photos where before they had a button to click to add plate pictures. It’s their expectation that you must go back and edit all the models that were added before that change. Even if you only had one profile and actual pictures of the printed model. I guess it’s all to do with the target audience they are trying to appease.

I think its still unacceptable to delete my profiles, maybe u can still download it but it just says 0 and i cant print my own works anymore from my phone. I dont have access to my pc bcs i have a real job and i thought i could just add pictures later, i think its not excusable to remove my hard work, it will take hours to upload those profiles again and get pictures is just not important for people who just wanne use their printer from a distance. Stop forcing ■■■■ on anyone and let users do what is best for them.

you could also just upload the profile later when you have the pictures.

Not sure how you upload them but it takes me minutes at most.

it doesn’t matter if i’m printing from afar or right next to it, i want to see that it is able to print at all.

No one is forcing you to use the platform.

Those are some misinformation right there bud.

Its my experience, sorry for hurting your world view. Bambulab is making a mess of this platform by destroying my work, and u say noone forced me to use this platform, well… Actually i just wanted a good printer, and it is but i cant use printables on the handy app right? So bambulab does kindof force me to use this platform.

I cant take pictures of prints i didnt print, im not able to use my laptop in the same place as the printer, so why is handy so limited and not able to add pictures of prints to the profile? It makes no sense.

I cant take pictures of prints i didnt print

So you are saying you didn’t print some of your models? In this case you just don’t add print profiles (maybe someone else will print your model and add it someday), just STL files.

This is nonsense, you are talking about your own models, and since you can’t create profiles on handy, you are using your laptop to send it to the printer, or you never print what you are designing and therefore cannot upload a print profile only an STL

Then you MUST no upload their print profiles. It’s again the rules.

No, ur not getting it, im just not able to print from my laptop directly to my printer, i use my phone to print my own profiles, but i cant print it without using my phone. I do make my own profiles, i just cant print them without using the app, do u get it?

These rules are so random, i wont listen to bad management.

That’s why you got punished.
Why complain then?

Why wouldn’t you be able to send it from the laptop to the printer? This is a poorly told story

Okay, so the issue here appears to be that @alwin_oz thinks he needs the handy app to start a print, which sure, you would have to upload your print profile and all that so you can start it from the app. That’s a misunderstanding of Makerworld and all of that though.

None of that is being forced on you, it is optional. The handy app is part of the makerworld ecosystem. It all goes… hand in hand! Ha. Anyway, you can control the printer to some extent too, but printing remotely via the handy app is more of an online/makerworld thing.

You can send send prints to your printer over the network via cloud or lan from Bambu Studio… It matters not if the laptop is in the same room.

You have to understand @alwin_oz, Makerworld isn’t your personal conduit to your printer. It’s a public repository, and the rules there in are built around that, and there’s little flexibility because of that. It’s purpose is a public repository. One in which Bambu has a high interest in trying to make it clean and easy for users to use, to find things, to know what they’re printing.

It’s like you wouldn’t put a product on amazon without an image.

Just… slice the thing and send it to your printer from your laptop! I’ve sent things to print at home when I was away from home using bambu studio on my laptop

Here’s a handy tip: if for some reason you can’t work bambu studio and must use some contrived way to upload a print profile and then print form bambu handy, you can set the model AND/OR profile to “private” and then the rules don’t apply: you can then print your profiles from your bambu handy!

This is print profile visibitity setting:
obraz

This is model visibility setting:

obraz

If you set model and profile to “private” none of the print profile rules apply, because it’s only visible and usable to you. Nobody else sees them or could use them (nor could anybody else report them)

If you set them to “Public” then you’ve got to obey the public rules.

Agreed, this is probably a misconception of limitations. I have never used the handy app to print. I really only ever use it to check in on the progress via the webcam.
