Initial Calib and Other Failures

All occurred during initial out-of-box setup. All packaging material (except the foam under the hot bed) and 3 hot bed screws removed. Internet/router connections tested normal. I am connected to the Bambu Handy application.

Initial Calibration: Multiple attempts with it failing after reaching 12+ minutes at 12%. No error code on screen to scan. During the attempts, no sounds or attempted movements were made by extruder or hotbed.

Firmware Update: Fails on every attempt at “0% completed” (using cloud). Turning printer off between attempts.

Hot Bed: No movement or attempt to move using the onscreen “Home” or movement “pies”

Self Test Function: Nothing happens. The “Progress Screen” remains blank.

Normal functions: Interior light can be controlled with application and I can successfully format the micro SD card.

Would return but had to delay opening the box several months because of unforeseen travel requirements.

I do not know if this will help, but try Settings→General→Restore factory settings.

It cannot hurt and is worth a try before you have to deal with support.

Thanks. I had tried that. You can’t perform the “Restore Factory Settings” until you “Home” the printer bed which I can’t do. It is as if the printer bed is being held down. I can hear a very faint “bump, bump…bump, bump” every time I start the printer as if the step motors are bound (not the 3 screws from shipping). I filled a “ticket”. Maybe I will get a response before summer.
