I get you not here to argue points neither am I but remember it is your point, but it can affect all of us who like these printers and reality has to come into play at some point.
Everything that people buy are mechanical and are not 100%
This is why people say research before hand so people can have as much info as possible before making the purchase and are able to make backup plans etc
I am not here to argue, I am here to just be straight out with reality.
They do have parts, they are right on their site.
I actually went and bought a bunch of parts and have them put away.
I know these are mechanical machine and know they arenāt going to run forever so I have a tock of parts here. Hopefully I will not have to use them soon but I have them Incase.
I believe you are addressing your frustrations at the wrong person. Not to mention that your points are becoming contrived in animosity. You should probably take a break.
Yeah i know an lot i have on stock. Cutters, hotends, ams parts, extruder and gears and some more⦠but i havent an replacement bed. Here i have to rely on bambu, and this is the problem.
And as for me being fine about it yes I am u have 7 printers and all but bambu I repair and modify and build myself.
I understood that it is going to take more than just pressing print. These are machinery. And machinery never runs 100% perfect all the time.
So as for parts. They should send over why. Because of warranty? If you had read you would have seen that if they make the determination it failed then they will replace it. Not if you make the determination
This is 95% of warranties from other companies. Warranties can be a real pain or are you new to them.
And you spent $1600 euros well no one forced you to. These printers are still in the hobbies arena. They are not actually meant for production machines.
And I know I know it is probably going to be prusa that you respond with.
If not remember BBL is only 1 1/2 old. They have a lot of kinks to work out still.
And if anyone thinks they can do it better then they need to offer to buy BBL and have at it
No you really are not directing to the right person, I stated I have had zero issues with the cloud service and even went as far as to say I do not speak on those userās behalf. Wherein you state I am one of those customers and how I demand things be fixed instantly.
Your claims are absurdly based in animosity and are flagrant generalities that are blatantly false. You can even scroll up before you even posted here (doubt you even read 90% of what is here and merely fixated on a specific set of users.) where I state it is now time to begin fixing things.
Take your baseless claims somewhere where your conversation is not easily verified in post. I even agreed with your talking point, yet you had issues even addressing the fact that the machines are literally starting prints without userās authorization or knowledge.
You can keep lampooning those users but in all honesty it merely looks like fan boying over a product you care too much about.
Lol youāll never know will you. My comments do help maybe not you but there are plenty of others on here that it has helped a lot.
And no no major fanbiy here and if I was so what. If you that upset with them go with someone else.
I get tires if seeing people whine and complain when 98% of the info is right online, and then they get an attitude with a company that is new and trying, the company is t going to jump to peopleās every whim they canāt.
But some of you people act like you guys are new to this stuff and it should be your way. This is the way life works it sucks alot sometimes but it is how it is
@BambuLab , thanks for posting this information. I had issues with the cloud service and I had an unexpected print start at around 3am.
Iām sure this has been said time and time again, but the ability to send prints via LAN is an amazing thought! I simply could not understand why the print needed to go from my home LAN, to your cloud and then have the print be sent from your cloud to my printer on my LAN.
It just felt wasteful and without benefit. Iām sure there were reasons, but the point is, Iām happy to see there will be LAN support added to ensure cloud/connectivity issues donāt affect the very useful feature to be able to send prints directly from the slicer to the printer without the lengthier steps needed when using an sd card.
Thanks again for always improving an already great product! Iāve been nothing but happy with this printer and am happy to see how the team at @BambuLab are handling this with proactive communication and a fix/enhancement to the product.
I would say it was worth being woken up at 3am to get LAN support out of it
If itās any consolation, alongside many of the ātinfoilā IP risks and normal spy talk, they might want to take into account the GCode you are sending into the printer for internal analysis. Especially if you have a failed print. They most likely want to know better: āwhat went wrong, was it user error or ours?ā
Hey @Kallvin , I did notice they collect info on failed prints when you cancel one on the printer UI and thought they must be doing proactive work to improve their printers.
Iām not printing anything that I donāt want out into the universe, but can understand the concerns there, especially when itās not really known what they are using the data for.
I do assume good intentions though, itās a great product and has been a joy for me to use, plug and play and I donāt feel like I need to be a master at the 3d printer to have successful prints.
Well yes i read it. And it is an clear waranty case in the country i live in. Two years we have here. Actual you machines may working correct. Interesting what you think when you have errors you cant fix.but yeah the others writing here are right. You show the same ignorance as the people in the tickets. I am sure you are an bambu empleyee. If not go and apply for an job. You fit perfectly in. Sorry for this words but you are on the wrong way.
Why canāt I access the MicroSD card in LAN only mode?
Can you come up with a way to support the mobile app, without having to go through the cloud to do printing? The app is useful for following the status of a print job but that information should be able to be accessed without requiring us to go through the cloud to print. I guess you could call it a hybrid approach.
I believe the thought was to monitor to genuinely make the printing experience with the printers better, why they are hooked to a cloud, but this should only be done for those who want to do that.
From the west (United States) we take our freedom seriously. This service, and tying the printer so closely to a cloud server automatically invokes anxiety over spying and watching as we create with our āprivateā printers. Some have jobs with the government and this could be viewed as Chinaās way of backdoor spying on them⦠and for this would not be able to own a Bambu Lab printer. This is VERY serious and should be taken into accountā¦
This issue of potential security issues is #1 why most are hesitant for purchasing these amazing printers.
This all said, what printed to those who had their printers on last night? I had mine off incidentally and now kinda wish it was on to see what would have printed!
The one pic I saw looked like it printed out a āCaution Laserā sign.
Mine just reprinted a print that I sent to the printer but got no confirmation that it downloaded. The only thing that happened was after I hit āSent to Printerā the slicer view changed over to the Device tab and that was it⦠it just sat there and did nothing. So I went back and hit send to printer again and it went through its normal procedure and started printing like normal.
After the print was done I took it off the build plate and removed the purge line and went to sleep. Started hearing about rogue prints in the AM and thought nothing of it, then later that afternoon I decided for the heck of it to check the printer and there it was lol another copy of the print that I sent to the printer originally.
Iām glad nothing was damaged because I removed the print before going to bed but Iām sure something would have happened if I had not removed the print.
I do wish we could do a proper LAN mode like with my Klipper/Mainsail on my Ender 3 Pro though.
These printers are not much different than any other printer.
I wasnāt trying to be mean or rude. I am trying to say if they arenāt going to help them that a task youāll have to take on yourself and get your machine running. And deal with them later. Unless you like having a $1000 boat anchor.
It sucks I know, I have been to that point a few times. But I researched and fixed the issues my self even it it means buying another board etc.
Unbelievable that Bambulab writes āIt is difficult to have a cloud service 100% reliable all the timeā but on the other side ignored continously the request from the users to get full support without cloud. I mean fully support to use the printer with Bambu Studio, Bambu Lab incl. control and webstream.
While there is no technical reason to force users using the cloud to have full functionality of their 3d printer it was done that way. The printers are excellent value for the price but the user must pay extra with their data forced to go through cloud server including all the valid questions about data privacy and security.
Data privacy and security must be prio1 for BambuLab. Just listen to your customers and stop ignoring them! I am pretty much frustrated now!
