I should have been more specific: My X1C refreshes after using Filezilla to upload a job to the SD card. My P1S does not. The card has to be ejected and reinserted. And it’s in another room downstairs. The entire setup for the P1S is a real shocker as far as setting up Bluetooth and WIFI compared to the X1C which I had prior to the P1S. Using a phone to scan codes as the only option for setup just prolongs the agony. The WIFI security code on the P1S changes every time you have to login again. I would be perfectly happy to disable it and just use my own server. I wonder why that makes one a second class citizen.
I prefer not to use a cloud at all. Using my own resources is fine with me. Just my pesky P1S could be programmed to make life easier. X1C, no problem; I just use WIFI and FTP and I am fine with that.
The p1P and P1S should be able to be the same way as the x1c.
I am sorry I didn’t read this one first.
I thought the P1P and P1S where the same way but guess not.
I thought maybe filezilla could be used with them. But from what you showed it doesn’t look to be the case.
I do use Filezilla with the P1S. But then I have to go to the other room and eject the SD card. I imagine there is no difference for the P1P. Also, the procedure to overcome the security code is a real pain, and has to be used more than it seems it should be (like never unless I say so).
Ya the P1S and P1P are the same machines minus the enclosure.
The security code thing for you is weird, I ha e only ever had to do it once unless I reinstall.
Ya I get having to go-to another room. My printers are in the same room as my computer. So I can see the inconvenience for you
Just FYI not sure if this will assist you but I found this part they are going to implement this in a firmware update:
File Management and Media Download functionality will be implemented, while User Certificate authentication for connectivity will be available to ensure secure connections in shared network environments.
I have read similar posts. Some of them are months old.
I hope that “…User Certificate Authentication…” is optional. I do not like to have to log in with BL to deal with my own internal server.
I would like to see them offer an upgrade board for the P1* machines that have the same WIFI/Bluetooth module and incorporate the X1* style display. I am not a phone freak and so despise having to use my phone to scan codes.
