P1S to X1C upgrade path

Anyone tried to (partially) upgrade a P1S to some of the X1C components? Specifically to get the X1C screen and Camera on the P1S, and possibly add the Lidar as well. I asked Bambu support but they where no help. Looking a bit deeper from the available replacement parts, it seems I would need to swap the mainboard to get the screen and camera and possibly the toolhead boards to match. Would most definitley need the toolhead boards for the lidar. Not owning either, anyone know if there are an…

It isn’t about the lidar. They use different electronics.

It’s more about the microcontroller used on the P series, it’s way more limited than the one in the X series.

If you really want this then do as movingimage suggested, or perhaps try and incorporate an iphone into some additional electronics to warn you (AFAIK it has LIDAR).

can anyone recommend a third-party live-feed cam to plug into the p1s’s usb port? (the 1st party cam’s quality is trash, 0.5 fps)

If you are hoping to switch camera inputs, it won’t work. The main processor of the P1x is too slow to process video at full speed.

If you’re just looking to use the USB port as a power source, then any small WiFi cam should do the job and stream to your phone or PC. It just won’t be integrated with Bambi’s apps.
