Is the AMS HT "worth it"?

Not only does the printer have to be switched on to use the drying function … If one day you change the printer manufacturer, the thing will become a paperweight. I already have a dryer, I just wanted one for SPECIAL filament. But that really puts me off.

Sustainability is different.

I liked my first one so much I bought a second when I got a partial refund from the tariff situation. It just arrived today and now I’m gonna use one for filament I swap out often, and the other my PAHT will live in.

Mine hasn’t arrived yet (delay in Europe) but now I feel like I should pre-emptively order more now! One for each printer at least…

Very true, but it’s still the only way you can get the power windows. If you’re fine with the hassle of all the manual loads and unloads, then you don’t need it. It’s main selling point is convenience, not thriftiness.

For some reason mine is coming from New Jersey:

Hopefully Tony Soprano doesn’t boost it on the way here.

I hate that it’s USPS and not UPS or FedEx. Where I live, USPS is both slow and unreliable.

I wish there was a way to turn off the display. It looks out of place next to the AMS 2. That said my AMS HT failed after the first day and I have yet to get the heating function to produce any heat since then. Hoping support will get to my ticket soon.

I ordered 2 more on 5/26 and they’re on schedule to be delivered tomorrow.

Oh no, maybe the AC power cord has a loose connection or an internal wire may have come disconnected.

What exactly is wrong with it? When I initially set my first one up, it wouldn’t work because the fan was stuck. I had to stick a toothpick in and push the fan to get it going manually. It’s been fine ever since, and I probably have 100 hours of dry time on it. I figured it got bonked in shipping and something was jammed.
