Is the FNATR filter system good?

so i tried out ASA for the first time and the smell was really bad, after learning how bad those fumes are i tried looking into a filter option, i am already using the external exhaust fan kit, but while printing in asa the exhaust is turned off so you can still smell it all, i came across a Filter System called the FNATR Filter system that can hook up to the P2S and i wanted to ask if anyone had any experience with it?

None of these filters do a good job because there are many ways for air to leave the printer, and even if it got all the air, it won’t get all the particles.

Get something like this, either from a printer shop, or a (garden) plant shop. See that hose? It goes out of the window.

They are not perfect but I would trust that far more than I trust a “magic box” filter.

i dont have the option to put a hose out a window cause the next window is on the other side of the room sadly

You are lucky that you have a machine that can make plastic pipe joinings, and wall/ceiling hanging brackets.

i do
but that does not help if the window is still more then 3m away from it

I was unaware that a fan could only move air 3 meters, or that a hose could not exceed this length.

I shall update my knowledge banks appropriately.

the way i read it is that i have to mount it on the sealing otherwise i have a constant trip hazard
and when it us up there the fan will have issues with the fumes and especially with the particles
the fumes will just come down again and basically never be vented outside

A lot of people put a in line 120mm fan along the laundry dryer type hose to pull more air towards wherever you are venting to. That’s what I did.

I have a similar filer from Amazon and it works quite well. But it’s recommended to change a couple of the filters once a month with heavy use and another one every 2-3 months.

It works quite well with the P2S and Fiberon ASA Carbon filament which is very stinky. But if like me you have sash windows. It’s a lot more effective to vent out the window with 3 inch dryer hose.

I use a USB powered 120mm computer case fan in the middle of the hose to suck the air towards the window.

I don’t believe it. I am very sure no air duct can be longer than 3 metres. I read it in this very thread. If you see one, it’s not real. It’s a conspiracy. I opened the one in my ceiling and there was nothing in there, just a long tube. Who knows why THEY put it there?
