Both of my .4 A1 nozzles are clogged. I’ve done cold pulls over and over. Nothing comes out except a miniscule coating on the Allen key.
I got one of them to the point that I can pass a guitar string all the way through, but as soon as I try to print the extruder clicks and can’t extrude.
Is there anything else I can do or do the nozzles have to be replaced?
I hate to wait a week for a new nozzle. There are third party nozzles on Amazon, but after buying a third party heater assembly last week, I won’t do that again. It was bad.
On my X1, I sometimes need to heat to printing temp manually, insert extra filament into the nozzle, push in the hex wrench, let it cool to 140° or below, and then pull the key. I usually do that 2-3 times.
Take very special care though. I am not sure how it translates to the A1 and there’s both a very real danger of burn injuries and cable damage. AMHIK
Yeah, that has worked for me in the past. I heat the key to red hot and hold the nozzle with pliers, shove it in, let it cool for a few minutes. This time it doesn’t work on either nozzle.
