Little black hex screw has came off the printer

Hello!
I got myself A1 last friday and it has been a blast so far, but…

I was printing the other day and I left the printer to print while I was at work, naturally. On the camera I saw that there is a bit of “support” underneath the bed, but it wasn’t it the way, so I was not bothered to finish the print that came out good.
But when I returned home and cleaned around the printer I noticed that the little “Support” underneath the bed is actually a little screw with some adhesive on it, which means that it came from somewhere.
I opened under bed plastic and checked the screws there, they were all there. Then I checked all around the printer for missing screws, but I did not find any missing ones, so I do not know what is going on. So far the printer has been behaving normally, aside from few screw ups in my “Extra Fine” print, but that is to be expected, because I am still learning.

A1 Bambu with Bambu Lab slicer.

I don’t see it shown in this Wiki article that lists the screws most used.

Are you sure it doesn’t come from anything else?

I don’t see any with a washer attached.

Hello! Yes, I have already checked the Wiki and I did not find anything there. Also I am absolutely sure, there isn’t anything else on the table other than the 3D printer and waste bin for the poop. It has adhesive, so it leads me to believe that it was factory screwed and not screwed by me. I looked everywhere. Under it, above it, from all sides, all screws seemed to be in place.

It has washers and stoppers, because most likely it did not came with the package, but it was rather on the printer already from the factory.

Based on the Wiki, the important screws are not this one.

It must be an errant screw.

Well enlighten the blind with your wisdom, Oh’ Great MZip!

I think you will find this was a reference to my original solution I gave that included an unfortunate use of language that gave an ‘interesting’ inappropriate double-meaning.

It wasn’t a suggestion of what the ‘screw’ was.

Looks same as a hotend front cover screw , too short to be nozzle wipe.

Unplug her and take a look around the obvious places.

I already did that, I looked all around the printer and I did not see any missing screws, including the hot end, wipe and something obvious. Maybe it came from inside somewhere, where I can’t see? I don’t know.

I have been printing parts without any problem for more than 20 hours now.

Wifey sat it there to mess with you.

I’ve had my A1 since January and just found the same screw sat on the bed after a print.

Checked all over and also cannot seem to find where it came from but must have been from above the bed.

I recognize that screw. Check the recessed screw holes on the bottom of the print bed along the edges.

I was thinking the same, but I did not see absolutely anything to miss from anywhere up above.

It was the first thing I did, yes. They are all there without even 1 missing. And besides the screw itself was up above, there is no way to get up from down there while having cover and all that.

Someone posted this also few days back and found its location and could be where yours has come from.

Remove hotend cover, remove nozzle, you should see 3 screws holding the heating element in place, unscrew them and remove the heating element and turn it around so the back of the heating element is facing you, there are 4 screws there, thats where another users screw had come lose and fell from. I hope this helps.

Edit: Heres the link to who found where it came from, your screw looks identical.

No, it is none of those three screws. Those are longer and don’t have a washer attached. I just removed theses screws to tighten the four screws on the back holding the heater and the thermistor.

The photo in that link shows a screw with the washers on the plate that holds the nozzle clip with 4 screws - I’ll check this before my next print.

I raised a support ticket also but they couldn’t identify the screw as important and advised me to keep it safe and continue printing.

I’m having trouble uploading the photo but the four screws are tiny compared to the one I found sat on the bed.

You should be able to upload now as I’ve increased your trust level.
