Live view, what is this function for?

Can someone explain to me why the Live View only works when it is activated in LAN mode? This is a very bad solution, because if I want to use the live view, I have to print using a card.

Why can’t the Live View be activated when printing normally via Orca? Live view is the wrong term, because the video is extremely stagnant and cannot be used.

You seem to imply that when your printer isn’t in LAN mode, you cannot access the camera at all. If that’s the case, this is a bug. You should definitely be able to access the camera when the printer is not in LAN mode, this has been a feature long before Liveview.

Liveview is specifically for people who use the printer in LAN mode. Previously, they were unable to access the camera, Liveview lets them do that when on the same network. This has been a long-standing complaint of the community so it’s great to see BL address this. I’m using this right now in Bambu Studio and cannot see the “extremely stagnant” video you’re referring to. There’s a slight delay but it’s sufficient for the purpose of monitoring the print. Could it be an issue with Orca?

Your post also seems to imply you cannot send jobs wirelessly when your printer is in LAN mode. This again doesn’t sound right. I am able to send jobs to the X1C without an SD card regardless of LAN mode. Does the P1P not support this?

I only use LAN mode with my P1P. After slicing I can use ‘Send’ to send the .gcode.3mf file to the printer to start the print from the filelist of the printer. I never use ‘Print Plate’ to directly start the printer, but thats me. I allways observe the first layer at the printer.
