Some people getting so upset at this and I have no Idea why.I just wanted to say thank goodness for this! I have been printing for a couple of years with a rubbish Creality printer and have recently upgraded to a P1s and started looking into creating models, I have twin babies and zero experience so this is just a self taught hobby and I could not for the life of me understand why anything I made had this issue. I thought that the ‘project’ tab meant that there was a CAD feature to the software and if I wanted to be able to print from the bambuhandy app I had to model exclusively from there. Nope! I couldn’t really understand and there isn’t a lot of information about it that’s understandable for someone new. I have twin 7 month old babies so often use my mobile to monitor my prints and start prints wherever I might be in the house. This post was a lifesaver for a learner, thank you!! To the people getting upset that theres a post with a question and answer in one post, you need therapy.
I dont know if this is still relevant, but i had the same issues. I did directly export is from Fusion 360 into Bambu slicer. when i did this i notced windowds defender pop up about blocking some app. i checked and saw that windows defender was blocking fusion and bambu lab. allowing both aps manually fixed the problem for me!
Bambu Slicer for linux fails to open any STL file. Even a simple cube from OpenSCAD. The same files open successfully when using Bambu Slicer for Windows.
When I save a project on the latest bambu studio for windows then try to open the same project in bambu studio for windows (installed via flatpak) I get this error.
Debian 12, bambu slicer installed via flatpak via:
flatpak install flathub com.bambulab.BambuStudio

If I load the file my own user’s home folder in linux, it works. If I load a file anywhere, it fails. For example, if I have a network share mounted via /etc/fstab, even if it has the proper permissions, it fails to load. I have to copy the files to my local home folder first. If this is an electron app it may have something to do with electron not being able to access the files?
What does software gets retired for a reason mean ???
