Unfortunately this answer is what I saw after a Google search. It could be a bit misleading. Maybe we need a two factor thumbs down function or something of that nature.
HERE IS THE ACTUAL SOLUTION
Iāve finally found the solution. After spending countless hours downloading various slicers, I was at a loss. The only solution I have found was press āmoveā and move the object down from the print plate. After slicing, the bottom should disappear. For those who stumbled upon this old post, I hope Iāve saved your day. :).
I do recall seeing in one of the Bambu Studio updates that they fixed this, is that not the case?
Im using the latest stable build update and its still doing this. Not sure about the beta.
@SelimTheOne thank you for the solution! Sometimes the simplest solution is the one that eludes us.
Please, could you give me more detail? Iām struggling to cut a 6 colored squirtle into parts in order to print it with AMS⦠but when cutting it, it looses the colors
Totally off topic⦠doesnāt solve the coloring issue at all.
One year later and still no solution for loosing the collars out the painting object after splitting?
Can someone please reach out to bambu labs need this fixed! its critical to AMS
How about you do that. If you really need to have this feature then just use Orca Slicer.
This may be off topic but it is another of those issues that confirms the opinion that most, if not all, slicer problems can be solved with better source models. That models designed to the capabilities of the printer always turn out better than those models where the printer and slicer has to be tweaked to accommodate the model. In this particular case, those models where the colorized elements are separated out as individual bodies within the model donāt have the problems that painted in the slicer models have.
Thank you!
Solved my failed print
bug still exists in latest Bambu and Orca. Incredible that they havenāt fixed this issue. This solution worked for me
I dont get it. I tried moving it under the print plate and out to the side of the print plate and still I lose the colors when I cut the body into parts. And why would you want the bottom to disappear? Are you talking about cutting into objects? This is something totally different. This is getting annoying, please fix this bug. I am using Orca 2.2 btw.
