Makerworld "community" tab was a big mistake

I only see one of his and none of yours in the timeline after scrolling back to the 22nd.

That includes a visual search and a text search for “problem” on the whole list I got through.

My two are there from my two uploads yesterday.

Thank you! I appreciate you looking.

At this point I am Shadow Banned. @MakerWorld

Maker Worlds suggestion was to add more engaging content. But all they did was check through my profile. Shrug.

I wasn’t being unhelpful, as I said, I couldn’t work out what your question was.

When you said you had been shadow banned without more context, I assumed you were asking why.

Now I have context, I answered that as well.

Appreciate it. and my apologies, I read your post as attacking the fact I posted a ■■■■ poll post, and I did in fact do that, but it was only posted to see if anyone could actually see my post outside of my personal community tab.

Sorry for that!

It is rare I agree with MW when they initiate the takedowns, but, those offended my barely working single eye.

That user was one of those who spammed the community tab and i don’t support that but…
Those are not good pictures but they are real and printed. All except the background that looks it has been put together with MS Paint. But still, it’s funny how makerworld takes those down and yet, after all that speech about “…we condemn… we do not support… we will…”, it leaves the most offending and deceiving ones.

Their greed is affecting their sight and penalizing honest users.

Reading through the replies on their thread is a little confusing. They say the do those backgrounds due to privacy reasons. But yet other posted models aren’t using the fake background? :face_with_raised_eyebrow: :person_shrugging:

Well, I looked away, it worked.

I just read all that. How would taking a picture of something on the print bed, “give my location away”? lol…

I’m still under the impression that account and it’s many followers is just like 2-3 class mates in junior high.

Oh absolutely, some of them say it in their profile. Has Makerworld ever stated a minimum age to create an account? If not they should seriously consider it. They are also the ones who have no real pictures on any of their models or print profiles because they don’t have a 3D printer… then if you try really hard you can usually find where their models really came from, spoiler: it wasn’t them.

that sushimaster guy is really nice but i think that when i post i want to know like what 3d printing is and or how people are doing

What purpose does the community tab actually serve?

Is it supposed to be like the reddit, where you can show designs and ask questions?

If it’s just for “check out my new design” then I’d prefer just a YouTube style subscription tab instead of the mush that’s in it now

under current and future community guidelines such posts are prohibited.

Anyway, according to MakerWorld, here’s how they want the community tab to be used:

Am I suppose to share that report here? Nobody is sharing anything useful just plain reports. I really have no clue what this tab is doing at this point

What report are you referring to?

  • The annual report?
  • Reporting a post for breaking the rules?

If it is the annual report, you follow the link in the report and at the end, you can press the button to share it.

If you wish to report a community post, use the More button (three dots) in the top right corner, there is a report option there, use the most suitable concern and add some context.
