well I guess not if I lived in America.
Unfortunately BL does not ship to NZ so I have to go to the only reseller in the country. Basicly double the price.
That probably doesn’t sound bad but when you have to double the price of EVERYTHING except the money you make it ups your expenses greatly. Pretty dam expensive if I have to replace a lot of printer and AMS parts yearly.
SD card failures can cause all sorts of weird behavior. If anyone runs into this, another thing to try is checking the card’s lock switch (if it has one) or using disk management tools to remove write protection. But swapping in a new card is definitely the easiest fix!
I don’t think I have ever seen a micro sd card with a lock switch. I guess someone could be using an micro sd to full sd adapter?
Surprise, surprise, 5 weeks on and another dead card.
Why is it even a required thing? Surely there must be some mod or improvement to change this system, I can’t even think why it was designed to need one.
Is there a way to use the usb port inside the printer instead of the sdcard?
You cannot.
Great, guess I’m buying a new printer then.
BL has been a complete waste of $
Another kg of fails due to sdcard errors. Decided to open it up and see if I can do anything to help it read the card. What a nightmare. IDK who designed this but what where they thinking? So many terrible design choices.
I had the same issue.
Does the interior light work?
Have you tested the USB port for 5 volts.
My problem was two fold. The lever plastic lever that holds and ejects the card was broken and was lying at the bottom of the port. Also, I had no voltage on the USB… Ended up getting a new AP board,
What’s the manufacture of the card?
How many Gb"s is it?
I think the P1s will only hold up to 32Gb?
I’m on my 5th card now. All have been under 32GB. Different brands.
The light works fine, the camera works, the wifi works. Its only the sdcard slot that has issues.
It has constant sd card errors. Most of them I can just click continue and it does but after maybe a dozen errors it will finish the print at the point its up to.
The problem is BL does not ship to NZ and the reseller here does not stock the AP Board. Its not as simple as “just replace it”. I have seen them on AliExpress, a bit pricey and long wait times. In my experience AliExpress can take anywhere up to 6 months.
My printer died just before xmas meaning I missed that opportunity to make some $ back on all the replacements parts its chewing through. Now its easter that is approaching and my printer is back offline waiting for parts again. So far the amount I have spent on the printer in 1 year is maybe 1/2 its purchase price again. It has not paid for itself yet.
Replaced AP board. Replaced SDcard with a brand new one. Error has returned while I’m troubleshooting another error.
FML
damn I am having similar issues and I was hoping replacing the AP board would fix it
yea I’m still having AMS issues so haven’t had a good chance to give it a run. Support are throwing guesses my way on which $100 part I should try to replace next. Great considering the wait times and cost.
It might have just been a coincidence that I had a faulty new sdcard. Maybe in another month I’ll be able to get back to printing again.
I am now having lockups where I have to reboot the printer.
I’m happy I decided against buying the H2D now.
