Multi-color text to the surface of an object in Bambu Studio

Hi everyone,

I’m using Bambu Studio 2.8.2.61 with a Bambu Lab P2S, and I’d like to add text to the surface of an object, such as a box or its lid.

The text should have a different filament color from the main object, but it should be completely flush with the surface — neither engraved nor raised.

I know how to add text using the Text tool, and I have already managed to create engraved text. However, I can’t figure out how to create text that is integrated into the surface at the same level, using a different filament color.

What exactly do I need to do in Bambu Studio to achieve this?

  • Which text settings should I use?

  • Does the text need to be part of an Assembly?

  • How should I position the text and set its thickness or depth?

  • How do I assign a different filament color to the text while keeping it flush with the object’s surface?

I’d appreciate a step-by-step explanation of the correct workflow.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Modifiers are amazing

Use the text tool to create what you want it to say, change type to a modifier, place it where you want it, then change filament on that modifier.

Just add the text and paint it
