I have a Bambu X1C, and despite watching YouTube videos and checking the forum and Reddit, I can’t get it to print in multiple colors. I’ve been using a simple test print of a two-colored cube, but it only prints in the first filament I select and never switches to the second. Any advice?

Welcome to the forum.
The file looks like it is set up right. When you say “It doesn’t change” are you basing this on the watching the AMS or by the part being one colour?
If it’s by the part being one colour I suspect that your flushing volumes are too low. Red is a harder colour to flush, If it isn’t completely flushed out the part will looks like its one colour.
Here are your current flushing volumes.
You could try changing the Red to Gray to say 800 and see if there is a difference.
The part is being one color. I have used red first and gray second and vise versa and the part is just one color. I can increase my flush volume and try:
Just a note, if you click on the flush volume number you can adjust them individually you don’t have to use the multiplier.
All this is a moot point if the AMS isn’t switching filaments.
I just put it on, so we’ll see. This is my first ams and trying to figure it out.
Just out of curiosity is it sliced to use the Ams ?
I believe so… Unless there is something I am missing in the slicer settings?
Look in the preview window , the slider bar on the right should show change filament commands
I increased my flushing and it still printed in the gray color never switching to red.
Can you screenshot this ?
I am not seeing that. How do I find that?
The little + on the button
you need to go to the layers where it changes colour and check that the gcode is there or add it with the change filament you see there,
It won’t let me select change filament. it doesn’t give it as an option.
which would mean its set to change colour ,you could try deleting the colours on the right side of studio and adding them again
I tried restarting fresh, and it looks like it should. I just threw it on the printer I should know in 10 minutes.
