My model was removed from Exclusive Model Program, lost all points

I’ve argued this from the beginning. Bambu knows what they want and what they think qualifies. Bambu should actually hand approve models for a while and to hell with the wait it may cause.

They have shown through multiple iterations that writing clear rules is difficult. Just an hour or so ago they showed how one 2D extrusion is ok by their own concepts but another is too common. A little band of color was the only real difference. They want a value judgement and writing rules for that is a very hard thing to do.

In the absence of hand approval where once models are in they can’t be penalized for rules unless there is some form of cheating or something like that, then implement the reputation/level thing to call the “infraction” out to humans so they can decide.

I know you were replying to @Johnny_Bit but these topics and ideas have been raised.

Back when the program started I’ve made VERY long post critiquing and going point-by-point over Exclusive Model Guidelines, suggesting improvements. I’m sure nobody has read it  but it looks like the guidelines are evolving into what I suggested back then, i even suggested several ways that would allow model to be pre-verified algorithmically. If anybody’s bored, take a look: MakerWorld Exclusive Program is now Live! - #231 by Johnny_Bit (do note that it was refering to the guidelines as they were on 15th Oct and they had quite a bit of changes since then, but still are not as good as they could be)

I have repeatedly requested this as they launch an exclusive program and then quickly changed it to be premium after everyone joined.

I have been saying this for many different reasons for sometime.

Shame you never said the same to me each time I suggested it.

I have suggested this before, seems smart.

Plus, they change without notice to anyone in the plan and no graceful exit after YOU changed the rules.

Perfect suggestion.

I have shared loads, but, yeah, we can say a couple.

Nailed it. Like we have all been expressing, myself ad nauseam.

It is hard to tell if this a purposeful misuse of a metaphor, but, given everyone knows the rules behind red lights, this is the exact opposite of a good example.

I had, I wrote one myself, albeit over a few posts in the same thread. They won’t though as by now it is starting to dawn on me they enjoy being deceitful and opaque when so little effort could provide clarity.

I assume they work on the energy of the chaos they wilfully bring.

Zero communication skills, each new message brings more unanswered questions.

That example was an exaggeration. I am not for applying the discourse trust level approach in this. But that’s another topic. I shouldn’t have replied to the trust level idea as it distracted from the proposal that I was focused on: to get MW to take over the determination of EM membership. Most of the time I am disciplined enough to stay on course but obviously wasn’t that time

My opinion is that we all do, even if indirecctly. Scamming affects all of us. EM is even more attractive to scammers than the regular tier.

That’s the thing: value judgement. Only MW knows. More reason for MW to take over the EM admission.

Hello everyone,

I have also gone through a failure in this journey, which left me completely unsettled. I ended up removing all my models, and for now, I am not publishing anything. Fatigue and a sense of weariness have set in, and I must admit that this feeling grew stronger as I read your messages.

That said, I’d like to share my perspective on the original topic. Here’s a suggestion that I think could bring concrete solutions:
1. Post the model as we currently do, but without setting it directly to exclusive mode.
2. Create a dedicated section in the “designers” area called: “Propose my model for the exclusive program.”
3. Once submitted, the model would be reviewed by Bambulab. If it complies with the rules, it could be granted exclusive status.

This approach seems to address two main issues:
• Ensuring that the rules are followed.
• Limiting risks related to scammers, if I understood the subject correctly.

As for me, I hope to return one day with new models, but for now, I’m taking a much-needed break to recharge.

Have a great day, everyone.

Citation @RetroSharky : Furthermore, the generic autmatized message threatened a ban if the rules were violated again. This is of course additionally demotivating, as I don’t know which models meet the current (not outdated) requirements. Which now leads me to remove all models from the program, because I don’t want to be banned, because after months the threshold for the level of creation has increased.

I agree with this entirely.

Just a tip, you can highlight it and click quote

it autofills more info in for you, like so:

I can’t be the only one who missed this apparent invite during signing up, only to discover it months later.

It is worth going through the different tutorials no matter the current skill levels.

I’m sorry. On tablet it didn’t work.

No worries! It just makes it easier for you as the author. That’s weird that it doesn’t work for you though

Plus you get a shiny badge!

That badge is great, except, it is lower ranked than the Regular badge I gained.

J’ai remarqué ce problème sur navigateur, sur tablette. Sur PC, ça fonctionne parfaitement.

However, when you answer, it is hidden in the write window.

Proof that I can use it on PC:

Except that I rarely pass, there may have been changes without me noticing. Don’t trust the badge.

Well, after a long time without posting here i am. It was my turn to have a model removed without any explanation.
It’s a fidget keychain and it’s not much but if any form of fidgets are not allowed, then they should all be removed from the program. @MakerWorld can you clarify this please? There were not many points deducted, but i feel deceived for mine to be taken of the program while others very similar are still in.

Happy new year

honestly with the exclusive program, makerworld is not doing things right.
I had a lot of hueforges removed from it (well removed I must say and was my fault for not having read the rules well).
However, in the same line where it says that hueforge are not allowed, it also expressly says that lithophanes are not allowed.
I’m not going to go into the difficulty behind making a good hueforge (find the image, edit it to improve it, adjust the layers, the structure mesh, etc etc).
but it is curious when you enter the word “litophane” in the makerworld search engine.
That’s where you realize what criteria they really use to decide if you’re right for the exclusive program or not.
It may be a coincidence but ALL lithophanes that have “maker supply” are marked as exclusive.

to give just a few examples and this last one, in my opinion, the most obvious.

It is not just a lithophane, it also does not have any type of added value since on the lithophanemaker page you are given the option to create it automatically, selecting “moon background”.
And not only that, in a quick search on other pages such as printables, thingiverse, cults, etc., you can find the same model (if from another designer, surely) but the exact same model. but of course the difference is the “MAKER SUPPLY”

In case of the Moon Lamp - it’s also on Thangs but in the description the creator wrote:

To keep things simple, the digital files for this model are hosted exclusively on MakerWorld

And indeed, when you click on the inscription “Download the files here” it redirects to Makerworld page.

Hmmm… something strange happened here. The last few comments have been deleted, including mine. And they were quite interesting

Well - this is the price for going all in with a closed source chinese company. It will only get worse once there are less options

Some of my models were removed from the exclusive program as well. While I don’t complain about the exclusive points being taken away (despite the confusion regarding what’s original and what’s not) - will you reinstate the normal points as well?
