Hi Guys
I just got yesterday the bambu X1C and it seems the lidar is not correctly plugged-in. The error msg is:
HMS_0C00_0100_0001_0001: Micro Lidar camera is offline
Now, I need to open the beautiful device and check the cables. I’m quite technical, but cautious with stuff I dont quite understand. Would somebody be willing helping me open the thing up in a video call and guide me through these steps?
I know it’s a big thing to ask. It would be very appreciated!
Our ticket was opened in July for the same issue. We replaced almost every related part in the machine. We are now down to the last part the AP board. So all I can say is GOOD LUCK!
Yes, we were all fooled unless you are one of the lucky ones that got a good printer. I am honestly tired of working on this printer for months with no end in sight. They need to do something as I have already invested countless hours trying to fix this piece of junk.
Have you reseated the Camera-to-TH connector and USB C connector as per Bambu’s instructions?
Suggest trying that first as it’s very possible they were loosened during shipping.
I would not go as far as to say the X1C has quality issues. I think that the occasional people that do end up having issues are just VERY vocal about it. Personally my machines have run amazing out of the box.
You want to re-seat the cable in the bottom left corner as shown at the 1:57 point in the video. Also reseat the usb connector on the bottom right of the same board.
It does not work well. We still have the same Lidar error and countless other misc errors. I have been working on electronics for over 25 years. Professionally repairing Japanese robots worth over half a million dollars. I am not the average consumer. Of course diehard fans will still blame me.
This is a known issue. Of course it is possible it can be fixed if it really was a loose cable but for some of us it is not that simple.
@jonathan75 - Yes, I really feel with you. Especially after putting so many hours into it. I hope I will be lucky with the lose cable.
@JonRaymond - Thanks for the help and the video. I’ll try to take it apart tomorrow and write an update. Assuming, I still have enough fingers left to type after the operation on the machine.
Glad you got it fixed. Hopefully it stays that way. Our error would come and go at first and then got worse and more regular until totally down with Lidar errors. We are still down right now waiting for days for support to reply between steps.
AP board has been replaced. We still have the same error. This has been going on since new. I am so fed up with this printer. We replaced every part they told us to with no difference in results. I don’t understand why in the 3D printer world you are expected to do your own warranty repair. I hope they will finally replace the printer!
