New firmware doen't work. How do I downgrade?

My PIP can’t print anything at all. And I can’t downgrade the firmware.
The "filament out’ sensor has been inoperative for months. But don’t worry there is one coming January 29, they say.
I had been printing happily without a good filament sensor before the upgrade.
The last two upgrades turned my PIP into a BRICK.

You should be able to downgrade using the Bambu Handy App. Within the title bar, there’s a Hamburger Button (2nd from the right).
Within that menu you will find the “Firmware Version” submenu. If you scroll down to the bottom, there’ll be a button called “I want to downgrade to a previous version”, where you can select a previous firmware version (01.04.02.00).
After downgrading, the printer will still prompt for a firmware update after each reboot. Just cancel it then.

No, they don’t allow that.

They do on the P series printers.

I just checked and also have no problems downgrading.
What version are you running at the moment?

I see Bambu allow downgrade right back to the early releases on my A1 . This is really good and able to be done from the app. I know all users are not, like us, able to compile OS kernels and flash usb boot devices to re-flash klipper instances so this actually beats apple, as they dont allow this
My A1 today, after upgrade, has the new PA ams lite saving features for auto-cal, but, i’m having some strange quality issues and the printer feels a bit faster and slightly more juddery.
Seems to be printing (well accelerating and decelerating) a bit quicker this side of the fw update anyone else notice this. I did the same batch of stuff as I did yesterday and today after the update and there’s a noise (slight more clattery) increase . Havn’t moved it or changed anything else same filament.

Anyone else has noted similar changes after the firmware update? Could mean new problems are on their way, and needs to be tackled fast.

I just updated to the newest 1.07 firmware on my P1P and ran a calibration. Now I’m getting the error that the resonance frequency of the X axis is low.

I’ve ran through the steps of cleaning the carbon rods and tensioning the belts but the error still occurs. I’ve read that this happened sometime last year to a lot of people but it was a software bug with a firmware update. Could this possibly be the case again?

I’m going to downgrade the firmware back to 1.06.01.02 to see if the error goes away.

Thank you! This really helped. Not sure what happened with the latest update, but now the first layer is trash! I will try this to see if it is the firmware, or if something worse is going on.

After upgrading to 1.0.7, I was having first layer problems as well as seams and stringing that had never happened before. Downgraded to 1.06.01.02 and all is working great again.

I’ve just noticed my bottom layer 3, when it moves to fill in the last bit of solid infill it’s like that single last line is double thick. Did’t happen on layer 1 and 2. Almost looks like some sort of rounding issue with flow i’m using classic wall gen. This, of course finds its way up to the top layer. PLA settings all the same and no over extrusion i’ve checked 0.42 walls are bang on 0.42 and a benchy is crisp.

The latest firmware update somehow made the p1s camera even worse. im impressed.
