Same issue here when using Orca, it seems to be playing games and does everything, but start the print. The printer sits there on “heating bed” even though both the bed and nozzle are sitting at temp. this is DANGEROUS and WASTEFUL BBL! rolling back!
Seems like 1.07.50.16 Beta is the last functional one for use with Orca Slicer.
Thank god I’ve find your comment, cux I was dying out here trying to figure out what in the world was going on with my P1S! I really thought that my heatbed was broken or my mainboard was fried. I wouldn’t have thought of the firmware causing such dangerous risks for me. Thank you again for helping me (probably a lot of folks) with this dire situation!
After printing again turns out that (for me at least) the only firmware that didn’t cause the same issue is the 1.07.00.00 and 1.07.00.04. I will keep updating if the problem persists but so far it seems to be acting normal.
You are quite welcome. This is why I join the beta program, however the behavior is unexpected and very dangerous. I’m glad you are printing again safely. I’m skipping a few versions for now.
FWIW, if you have 01.06.01.00 in your previous versions list in the Handy app, you may want to give that a try if you run an AMS. It’s the last build where the auto-refill bug doesn’t exist (print black PLA, and auto-refill will have mismatched filaments/colors in the list, so if your black spool runs out it will use something like blue filament).
Trying to downgrade, but my “hamburger” button is for QR code. I have been unable to print now since upgrade. Please help. I tried submitting ticket to Bambu but unable to attach log, so no luck there.
fwiw I’m seeing huge issues with bridges and overhangs. The new firmware makes a complete mess of them and can’t seem to cover a 1cm gap.
Unfortunately my PC gave up the ghost so I’ll have to wait until it’s repaired to experiment with firmware downgrades.
Update, I just upgraded to 1.08.00.00, and although the same issue occurred again using OrcaSlicer, I was able to print using BS. For now I will continue using BS until I run into the reason I switched to OrcaSlicer, then downgrade again and stay there.
I also figured out if you send the job to the printer from OrcaSlicer, then go to the SDCard and start the print from there, the printer will actually print and not sit there with everything at temp.
After updating my P1 to the latest firmware (01.08 if I’m not wrong) yesterday and the heatbed doesn’t heat to the set point after sending the job via BS. Downloading works, triggering the soft end stops works as well and the tool head maneuvers to the poop chute. Pre Heating the nozzle works, the heatbed stays at 1 C below set point. Even tried setting the heatbed temp of the filament to 54 C - heatbed heats to 53…
Hello, where do I go to locate how to down grade. I have had multiple print failures since updating. I’m also not able to add a new file to print because the setting options are wiped out. I have a Bamboo A1 also.
