i made 2 simular ones, on the right side, had plastic transfer, and made it red, and put doublesided tape on it, but still the same problem. the blocker stays on the left side, and doesn’t go ride,. i can press it manually just fine… so weird.
07fe-8020 152206 that i keep getting seems to be a feed failure… and the last part is the time stamp 3:22 PM which is correct… only search for 07fe-8020 explains why bambulab asked me for the AMS tracks… but it doesn’t make sense , since it work fine for 1 color from the same spot… also removed the whole blocker and still the same. so, i am really confused. gave bambu a video from it. and see what happens
Any resolution to this issue???
Thankfully I found this thread before disassembling my entire toolhead like the support robot link on the printer told me to do. First they wanted me to disassemble a few interior covers and check the extruder power connection. Next step was the nuclear disconnect everything on the toolhead. (Which is not a quick process and has a ridiculous amount of tiny PCB connectors.)
I just removed the entire arm (nozzle blocker and flow blocker) that MarkManner shows above and no more failure to switch extruder errors.
This blocker setup is flawed. A bent flow blocker absolutely shredded my Bambu Smooth PEI sheet a couple months ago, so I replaced it with one of the spares. But this failure to switch extruders error should at least point a solution related to the blocker or there’s going to some angry users.
After I did the slight rounding off on the arm, the problem went away and has operated for many hours successfully thereafter.
well, getting 07ff-8020 19006 and switching failed.. complains about an open circuit.. getting another extruder set shipped.. it was working fine, till i switched hotends from 0.4 to 0.2 sometimes it works but most of the time it’s not.. the motor is not making any noise when it suppose to switch.
Just curious since this is almost a year ago and not sure if you’re still around: how did this work out for you? Did you leave it removed and did it work? Because I’m considering just yeeting the thing off my machine.
Hi, still here. After I smoothed out the edge, I’ve left it on and it has worked without a single glitch, so seemingly just that slight bit of friction was causing the problem. I’ve printed a good bit with it using both nozzles frequently. Hope this helps
were you able to get a resolution? I know this is almost a year ago…but this just happened to me
btw–here is a video I posted on YT with this issue: https://youtu.be/nj2gBY6t-ak
The resolution was me smoothing the edge, which fixed it. Bambu sent me some new parts, and I put one in a few months later to see, and it worked without smoothing. I suspect that the tolerances are pretty tight, and the smoothing was needed for my particular unit initially, but after some usage, the parts that operate to move the blocker on and off the two nozzles became a bit less tight. In any event, I’ve had not a single failure since I initially did the edge smoothing, or after putting a new unsmoothed part in a few months later. Hope this is of some help.
appreciate the reply. I’m just baffled because this just occurred yesterday. I had to replace the nozzle blocker because I saw it was bent and after I replaced that tiny little part, it stopped working. You can see from my YT video whats happening.
Hi, what yours is doing isn’t at all what mine or some others did. In my case (and some others I believe), the wiper blade would not go to the other nozzle. It stopped, stuck before it changed fully to the other nozzle. Yours seems to be changing every time. I think you have something else going on.
Bambulab sent me a new Extruder assembly with the switch in it, and it’s been working great. There was also a bad board that was replaced.
Continuing the discussion from New H2D user / Extruder switch failed; please contact:
Have had the same issue with my H2D. Being a new user it has been frustrating however I have had some great results up to now.
Have sent a ticket to Bambu (A new experience) and awaiting a reply
. Because I have an AMS HT it will not load because it says I have remaining filament in the extruder. At present I can only use the external spool on the left extruder. i.e no drying.
