New P1S Combo - nothing properly sticks to the build plate anymore

I will try this steel wool trick. First time I am seeing this suggestion after multiple different threads.

Hello, I also had the problem of non-stick and the only solution was to clean the plate very well. I scrubbed it with a soft sponge and dishwashing detergent for a few minutes and no more sticking problem.

I also got sick of pieces coming loose halfway through prints with ABS and tried all sorts of plates, cleaning with 100% ISO alcohol, and all high temp plates with no joy.
I finally found a solution and glued down 2mm Polycarbonate onto my plate with selleys quickgrip. The only thing is dont heat the bed higher than 50deg C because the piece sticks on too much.
I will try lower bed temps and different filaments, but I think I have found the solution.

If that works for you then go with it. For reference I have 5 high temp plates and ABS sticks very well to them. If I have any adhesion issues I wash them in dish soap and hot water and perfect adhesion returns.

I recently had this issue as well and I figured out the problem. I don’t know why but I purchased a new open textured build plate and my problem is gone! I don’t know if the other build plate was damaged from other prints but I tried to clean it with hot soapy water. Cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Did general maintenance and greased all parts. And the only thing that fixed it was to change the print bed. Best $20 fix I’ve spent!

Well, you should try the solution that was posted a few times during this thread: very fine steel wool on the print bed. Like it’s mentioned in the wiki as well. A bit cheaper than a new print bed, and an actual solution and not a workaround
