Not getting credit for prints and downloads

I’m wondering if I’m misunderstanding something or if there is an issue with makerworld. I recently uploaded a profile for my key hooks. Someone requested tractor brands be added, so i made some and separated them onto different plates based on colors. I’ve got two 5-star ratings, one even included a pic of the print, but i still see zero downloads and prints. Is it because they need to print all of the plates to count or something?

Bambu handy doesnt register downloads …
There is a thread where @Tanklet has explained it doesnt download the file itself, but takes the information directly from the cloud

I know you don’t get downloads from handy prints. When you use the handy app the designer doesnt get credit for a completed print either? It shows zero prints and zero downloads.

For context, the model is this one

You would have to check the thread ,as far as im aware, you may not be registering a print through the cloud , when not sending the print itself directly (download , bambu studio)

If you print using Bambu handy it registers as a print.

If you download from the website it registers as a download.

Not all downloads or prints are counted.

This can result in receiving ratings and yet no public acknowledgment that person actually printed or downloaded the model.

The last time I remember reading the rules the most important was this (subject to failing memory and subsequent changes).

  • A user’s activity stops being recorded after the fifth download/print per day.

This means if user a prints your model as the sixth that day, yours will not be credited. No matter how great it was or if it was rated afterwards.

The user likely printed a different profile first. Only the first printed profile is counted in the statistics.

Seems silly that i wouldn’t get credit because that user is printing more things.

I get not getting more prints recorded on the model, but the profile should get credit.

The feature was added to slow down the point stealing users that kept downloading small models all day long.

They would get credit for each and every downlaod.

This was stealing.

As with all crime, it is us, the innocent that get punished.

I get if you earned points for printing, but thats not the case really. You get a small amount of points monthly for rating prints.

Kinda lame since my model allows for people to go back and print a different logo if they get a new car (or tractor lol). I think i should get credit for return business.

Oh well, thanks for the info!

Do not do this for every model (that would be spam), but why not post the link to the model you spoke of in this topic?

That is the case , its where the majority of my points come from, printing, which allows me to rate a model and recieve 50 points a month

I did in one of the first comments

What i wonder is say someone downloads model, but has already hit 5 limit… if they return another day to redownload because of say a change. Would it count?

Hello, I’m a huge fan of this model. A lot of time and effort has gone into it. Could I ask if it’s possible to add a logo for the “Peugeot” and “Cupra” brands as well? Thanks in advance for looking into this. Kind regards!

Thanks for the kind words! I have created a couple variations for each of those brands. Once I have a printer free to print them to confirm the profile works and have pictures of successful prints (required to publish a profile) I will publish the profiles for you!

Great, thanks for your quick reply. It’s great that you’re willing to do this. I’m really looking forward to hanging it in the garage once it’s finished. Great idea!
