OK,
So I have the same problems and more. The new version is also too liberal with files. It has deleted versions of the file I have created for backup because I was experiencing problems with files going away. It turns out that it is this new versions. In addition, you have to be very careful to save files in a different directory because any changes you can generate by mistake will go into the file you are working on. For example, after working for hours in painting your object, it is very easy for BS to change back to the object with no paint, and guess what? If you guess that you lost all your work you are right.
I have also found out that many of the parameters don’t do anything after you change them. I wonder if BS was developed correctly as it seems the UI is a copy from an open source program.
I don’t think the developers have learned to create a temporary directory for working in files, do all the work in the temporary file, then allow you to save the changes. Also, I may add, it should ask to to save your work before you exit. These are SIMPLE elementary workflows that every developer learns.
The Paint feature also, sorry to say, sucks. The blocker fails to block when you click on the mouse and when you try to drag to block accross it treats it as moving the object.
I also tried the Add Negative Part and it does not work at all. l
I have had the system for only three weeks and I have had nothing but problems with the darn system. Last night, after having an object printing during the day and during the night, I wake up to find blocks of poop inside the extruder chute and in the nozzle which damaged the print. Not to say, it ignore all the blockers and it was building trees inside the object which it was not supposed to do because it was enclosed.
Most likely I will cancel the purchase this week before I ran out of time. The other things I have done several of these posts on the hopes that someone from Bambu Labs will respond. However, I think that is wishful thinking. I will not recommend this company or their systems if I have to do that last drastic option.
BTW, I have fixed many problems, which required system work. I don’t think you should do that in a new system.
