Anyone aside from me having this issue? About half the time the machine can’t identify the nozzles. Sometimes it’s just one, sometimes both. There doesn’t seem to be any logic to it and sometimes I run the Nozzle ID again and it will work, other times not. I’ve cleaned the camera lens and coded section of the nozzles to no avail.
Otherwise my H2D has been mostly flawless. On of the silicone boots tore off for some reason (litterally riped the bottom out) but coming from several other manufacturers systems, I couldn’t be more impressed even if it’s not perfect.
Thanks for reading. Just curious if this is ticket worthy or a pretty common problem I expect they’ll get to.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. Yeah, I haven’t had much luck searching the various socials for others experiencing the issue so I suppose I’ll start the ticket process. I have attempted to clean the lens and nozzle coded repeatedly to no particular effect. Otherwise the camera seems pretty good compared to some others I’ve seen here.
For anyone else experiencing this issue, I did here back from support. They said it was a known issue that would be addressed in the next update. Until then they recommended removing the plastic transparent cover from the extruder head. I suspect it’s some reflection or something.
I’m working with 2 H2D’s, one of which has worked flawlessly, the other has had this same issue you described. I have cleaned the camera lens, ran the camera calibration procedure, tried multiple hot ends, multiple lighting configurations in the room that it’s in (in case it is some reflective issue) and nothing seems to work but removing the plastic cover. I even questioned them being next to each other, thinking maybe the vibrations from the other were throwing it off, but nope… You’re not alone! Hopefully they’ll fix the issue some time soon.
Im having the exact problem and i opened a ticket a week ago bc of that, try this, change manually the extruders in the printer, put a wrong ones, like 0.2 or what u want, then, click on read extruders, your printer problably is gonna say everything is okay like mine… is a bug and they dont understand me in the tickets, they understand me trying to put 2 sizes of nozzles at the same time xdd
i also noticed this problem. i had 0.4 nozzles before. i want to make a new print with 0.2 nozzles, install the 0.2 nozzles, slice and want to print. the h2d says that this is not possible because it thinks it still has 0.4 nozzles in it. the only solution for me at the moment is to slice the model in 0.4 and start printing. at some point, before it starts the correct print, i.e. in the preparation phase, it then recognizes that 0.2 nozzles are installed. then, of course, i cancel the print and can now slice with 0.2 nozzles and actually print, because it has previously determined that 0.2 nozzles are installed. quite complicated, hpffe bambu changes the procedure.
didn’t someone write that bambu is aware of the error and will fix it in the next update? i have the new update, but the error is still there. removing the cover doesn’t help at all. i also wonder why i should always synchronize the printer in bambustudio if the printer does not even capture the data, such as nozzel or build plate, before the synchronization or during the process in order to actually be able to synchronize… it basically only reads in old values, but does not capture any current data, or have i overlooked something that i still have to do?
Hello mate! In my case in the last update was solved, i am so sorry in yours no About the syncronization thing, first it gets to bambu slicer to put all the data from the printer, and if you change something and its not like the same size of nozzle or anything when you start the printing the printer is suposed to know in one of his verifications, try to do the liveview calibration thing, remove the cover and clean the simbols in the nozzle, for sure you did this but is the only thing you can do for now, open a ticket is the only thing i can say to help you, and put manually meanwhile the nozzle type in the screen, is bad but almost is not letting you without printing
Yes. That was what I was told. I had removed the plastic cover and haven’t had a problem since. I haven’t even re-installed it yet to see if anything has changed since the latest update. My problem is completely gone without the cover.
I recommend you file a request with support for assistance with your specific printers issue.
