Nozzle temperature malfunction.[0300 8008]

Having the same issue but only during the orca slicer MVFR test… Any fixes?

I know this is a bit of an old thread but Was having this issue, saw your solution and thought it was way to simple of a fix until I tried it and worked for me. Just incase anyone else was having this issue and had some doubt.

I have the same problem. Returns error 0300 8008. I checked the integrity of the board, connectors and cables, replaced the thermistor and heater, it did not help, the error occurred on a certain layer. I thought it would be possible to replace the memory card and… It helped! This error did not occur during further printing.

My program was printed out this morning without any problems and without this annoying error appearing. Those who are reading this, try to replace the memory card, perhaps in your case this will help solve the problem.

My most recent trouble with this error code seemed to be related to the heat sink cooling fan.
During troubleshooting, I replaced the full set of print head V9 boards. I also replaced the microlidar. I then put on a new hot end and got the same error.

The only remaining thing that was not new was the fan on the heat sink.
I unplugged the fan from the board, straightened out the wires etc, and plugged it back in. Now it works. If I continue to have problems I’ll replace the fan itself or rewire the fan with a slightly thicker gauge between the fan and connector.

If I have any additional insight I’ll try to post here. But so far it has made it through diagnosis testing and motor vibration and sweep vibration and appears to still be working.

Update 11/9 - over 24 hours of printing and no repeating of the error. So I suppose if you experience it, try swapping the heat sink cooling fan or make sure all the connectors are solid and well-seated with no kinks.

In my case, it was the SOCK.

I have been running no sock with PLA with no problems with nozzle temp ~220c. Only when I changed to TPU and nozzle temp increased to 240c, I started getting this error, when the fan kicks on. I replaced the sock, and the problem went away. I assume the fan was causing too much temperature drop and triggering the error, without the sock being installed.

Happened to me as well. Because I forgot to put the silicone sock on.

Thanks to you I solved it. My issue was the silicone sock of the hotend broke when printing, so I was getting that error. Ordered one. In the meantime, what I was doing was, lowering the speed of the Part fan. The problem is that the fan without the silicone cooled faster than it should, and that was causing the error.

I had this issue for the first time today. I just received my printer for Christmas and am an absolute novice still. I’ve done about 30 or 40 prints, some hours long, without this issue.

We are having some cold temps (42F) and the printer is near a window. Is it possible the cold radiating from the window is affecting the temps?

If not, how do I check to see if the sock is damaged? Afaik, if I have a sock, it should be on the nozzle, as I haven’t changed anything from when the printer was received.

I think after only 4 or 5 weeks the sock shouldn’t be damaged. Otherwise you can remove the sock and check it.

I have the same problem at the moment. And I have had 100% fan speed in my PLA profile. After changing from PETG to PLA sometimes I got this error.
So I think the cold temp can be the cause of your problem.

My hotend is reading on the machine/in the app as 168 degrees, even though it’s bone cold. It was doing this before, and my assembly was covered in PETG, so support figured it was a busted assembly. I replaced that and the hot end, and the moment I turned the machine on, it has still displayed 167/168 degrees, despite being cold.

Fixed it by reinstalling the silicone sock.

I’ve been printing PLA and PETG without the sock without issues, but now I tried PETG-CF and I got the error right when the fan went to 100% for a top shell. Without the silicone case the nozzle couldn’t keep the 255C required for PETG-CF. I tried resuming the print several times, and I would get the error a few seconds after it started printing with the fan 100% on. Reinstalling the silicone sock did the trick.

Disclaimer - this is what worked for me and from my situation it makes sense. I’m not an expert.

Yes, a me too post. Sock off with PLA no problem… change to PETG-CF and the error happened within the first few layers.
Sock back on with disabled Aux fan off and so far all is going well. :crossed_fingers:

Just recently went through this error code nightmare. It was on my Bambu A1 Mini. Before I figured it out, I couldn’t even make it 10mins without the error even with turning to cooling fan down. I first tried to replace the silicone sock, no luck. I then replaced the heating element, no luck. Checked all connections on the toolhead board, everything looked good, still no luck. I went ahead, disconnected the USB C cable from the toolhead board, and reconnected it… still no luck. What I noticed is that the heat-break fan on my mini was significantly louder than my A1 next to it. I removed it, cleaned it thoroughly, cleaned the part cooling fan and made sure it was angled correctly, and now THE PROBLEM IS FIXED! I wanna say that I maybe had a connection issue or faulty fan from being dirty. The heat-break had too much cooling by having too much fan speed.

I had this same issue pop up suddenly. Was printing with PETG and PLA/PETG support filament. After the switch to the support material it would get this error and pause printing. It would continue after letting the unit sit for a bit. but recur after next switch.
The issue was I didn’t put the nozzle sock back on after a nozzle change. Seems the sock protects the nozzle from the part fan blowing on it. After the sock was in place it didn’t recur.
