Hi there, i have two AMS units connected to my X1, the new AMS, that arrived 3 days ago, has to work way harder bringing the filament into the Printer as the other one…
i had several “Lock ups” were the spool didn’t move forth and back…
Had to remove the PTFE’s and the Filament by Hand.
Anyways i changed the PTFE Tube from the AMS to the Hub, from the Hub to the Toolhead, removed the Y-Adapter which worked like a Charme with only one AMS…
I have it now working but the new AMS is almost dying and i don’t think that’s very healthy for the motors inside…
I have read something about too tight screws inside the AMS, is that a common problem?
Any advice and thanks in advance

idem j’ai reçu mon deuxième AMS hier et j’ai exactement le même probleme , j’ai l’impression que le nouvelle ams manque de puissance pour emmener le filament je précise que j’ai l’ancienne version pour mon premier ams et la nouvelle version pour le second. J’ai des erreurs a chaque changement de couleur de l’un a l’autre m’indiquant que l’extrudeur est boucher alors que ce n’est pas le cas…

On dirait que nous avons le même problème mon ami. J’ai un total de 3 AMS, 1 est venu avec le X1C, le deuxième il y a 2-3 semaines avec le P1S et le nouveau, comme je l’ai dit, il y a 3-4 jours.
J’échangerai l’ancien X1C avec le nouveau plus tard et je verrai s’il se comporte différemment dans la même configuration…
Si oui, nous savons quel est le problème… Avez-vous déjà contacté Bambulab ?
Je ne reçois pas le même message d’erreur que vous, mais plutôt qu’il y a des problèmes pour retirer le filament.
D’accord, j’ai trouvé le problème et je l’ai résolu dans mon cas.
J’ai ouvert l’AMS, il n’y a que deux vis, puis j’ai desserré d’un tour les 8 clés Allen (la noire et l’argentée) et du coup le moteur transporte le filament dans la tête de l’outil sans aucun problème.
Okay, I found the problem and solved it in my case.
I opened the AMS, there are only two screws, then I loosened all 8 Allen keys (the black and the silver ones) one turn and suddenly the motor transports the filament into the toolhead without any problems.
Really big thanks go out to that User who mentioned losing the screw, can’t find the thread actually.
